The only time I look at CNN is if there's some newsworthy event going down in progress. Other than that, 
Cable new is shyt across the board except for Al Jazeera. They got fukked up when the media companies started letting their entertainment divisions drive their news divisions.
Fox did a lot to accelerate that downward spiral into the sewer.

i banned my bytch from watching that cbs and nbc and fox new trash. not allowed to watch that sh1t. but she told me one thing which really opened my eyes... she said there was once when pbs had no commercials. but these days it's the same companies that bought the govt that fund it meaning at the end of the day it ain't any better. pharmaceutical and "financial" companies aren't gonna spend money on a network for them to be exposed. unless the story airs at 3am in the morning
tv is basically just as waste of time.

The news ratings dropped to less than 10% of the ratings that it had 30 years ago. It used to be 80 million people watching the news back in the 80s, and now it is less than 6 million. The internet wiped them out
hate to say it, but CNN needs another major war...that's how CNN popped off originally. War coverage keeps people glued to their television sets.
I flip between al Jazeera and BBC.
Go on twitter, follow news sources you like and even some that you don't so you know what the "major" headlines are if someone brings it up. Otherwise just read. It's really that simple. The only time I watch the mainstream news is on Sunday mornings when someone is coming on to get interviewed just as a segue to football. All these people suck (though I have a certain degree for Maddow's preparation).

It's not like there are any non-biased news sources out there. I regularly go to CNN's website just like I got to Al-Jazeera's, BBC's, PBS's, NPR's etc....

CNN still puts together the best live news package out there (sans some simple shyt like getting a name right) presentation wise. You might just see a nikka blow his own head off on Fox, MSNBC barely even does them. The networks are still great for your Sunday political shows. I'm a journalist.
CNN is a great news room to work in, I hear. Weekend work is a place to come up and Atlanta is way cheaper to live in than Chicago or New York so those entry level dollars stretch a bit more.

rt is only for real niccas. you ain't built for that. and it is shown on pbs I think 7-8 or 8-9. rt of course is pro russia and russia doesn't do any wrong but russia doesn't affect most of us and seems to be doing better internationally...the rt on tv is too mild for me. make sure you like rt on facebook to get real news and stop acting like a p*ssy.

News ratings has gone down for the past few years on CNN anyway. When the new CEO took over in December of last year, he oversaw their worst ratings quarter ever in their history and now he's trying to bring reality tv shows to the network to draw in younger viewers and boost the ratings.But their ratings have been going down steadily. Seems like no one is watching CNN.
