No Gods before me
No Gods before me
Nah breh, we are not convincing each other. This is just discussion.Your Analysis is very flawed. I do not place god in gaps that's unexplainable, I can ask a million questions and get a million answers but at the end of the day all one can do is go on faith or your beliefs. Who's to decide the positive outcome god or coincidence? You really simplified this discussion, but it's much deeper than that. Lol also luck is not a "mathematical calculation" and your def for law of attraction is wrong/off, it isn't synonymous to optimism either. Law of attraction is like attracts like, thinking/feeling be it negative or positive what you want/don't want and attracting that experience to your life.
I didn't say anything about me personally going to heaven, I did give an example of others believing. Cool you don't believe in god but it's not my job to persuade you any different. I'm just offering my opinion.
Now I see your point! Rely on yourself for truth? With that is it possible then to call yourself a god, based on your conclusion. If relying on yourself for truth then could one be possibly all knowing especially since we use 10% of brain power. My boyfriend who's a trading engineer once said to me that 2+2=4 (my argument) could technically equal 5 because 2.5+2.5=5, he got me and we have deep discussions often about life after death, god and proof. He believes in God but his questions center more on what happens after death, is there life, dimensions, do we meet god or dead relatives and so forth. I sometimes think he looks to me as if I have the answers but I have just as many questions. But my point is that life to me is not as simple and I don't need anyone explaining things to me to make it any truer. You seem like a practical man, real world experience/knowledge I like it :-)! I enjoyed your thoughts on the subject.Nah breh, we are not convincing each other. This is just discussion.
You can ask a million questions, and get a million answers...but in reality...only one of them is true. If you ask is 2+2=4....I could could give you many answers....but the absolute testable and accepted truth is that the answer is 4. I don't have to "have faith" it's 4, it's just 4 whether I believe it or not.
You said I "really simplified the discussion." I think people make things overly complex by adding ideas...esoterics. This is a tool, so common people have to rely on select few to have things explained to them. Sound familiar? Things are simple, you just have to start relying on your self for truths. All I'm saying.
To all the atheists, there are scientist as we speak looking for proof of gods existence, ie the god particle, CERN huge cauldron in Europe testing particles etc etc, Higgs Boson, Kurt Gödel a mathematician who created an ontological theorem for the existence of god in which he presented as proof, it's all interesting to me.
It was a "joke" name because scientist were trying to find the particle that's responsible for giving matter to properties which is named after Higgs, the Higgs Boson. The god particle has nothing to do with an actual god
It's a nickname that was actually a joke. Peter Higgs is a atheist breh.
Thank you. I also agree life is not simple, it's beautiful and it teaches us things better than any book or theory. People assume that the Atheist just sits back and thinks to himself "I have all the answers", no the atheists finds wonder and amazement in searching for answers/truths in nature/universe. The atheist rejects the corrupt and agenda driven claims of modern religion. Is the atheist rejecting god? No, I just realize that this god we are offered sounds, judges, and acts eerily like the pitiful creature that is human. In a way, I give this god more reverence, because if he/she/it exists, there is no fukking way that it's the entity that is described by the main religions of the world, and I would think he would appreciate the extra effort in verifying the claims made in his alleged name. Now I see your point! Close threadBecause they find it utterly ridiculous that people worship some invisible 'guy' in the sky
They believe that people are stupid and brainwashed into thinking that you'll live hell on earth only to enter heaven when you die (if you've been good)
