Serious Discussion: In what way could Sony combat Xbox Gamepass

You don't get left behind by supposed competitors you embarrassed so bad they now hide their unit sales because it's embarrassing in comparison to yours. Sony is the industry leader by a lot because people like what they're doing.

Sony is doing just fine. They don't need a response to Gamepass. They need to continue building upon what's made them the most successful brand in home console gaming.

I’m not even talking about just Microsoft. The way people access and interact with gaming is changing. Lots of very wealthy and powerful companies are throwing their weight around. Even Sony sees this as they are slowly changing their business model.

How does Netflix respond to HBO Max? You don't make it to a position of leadership not knowing what you're doing.

Sony has game streaming and they had it before Microsoft. That shouldn't be their focus though. They should focus on what they've been doing because their fans are pleased with it. Everybody else in their space is either on a different highway all together (Nintendo) or in their rear view mirror (Microsoft).

I buy all consoles from the major players and have no vested interest in any one of them doing much better than the other. In fact I prefer if they all shine.

Difference being I'm willing to admit what it actually is and everything you say is to portray a very specific brand in a certain light.

So I can say Sony doesn't need to copy Microsoft's moves or respond to them and admit that Sony has outsold Microsoft by the end of every single generation both has participated in and it doesn't bother me to admit that. You'd just dance around it or form spin.
