education time...

Because if consoles become obsolete (which they will) Sony becomes a dinosaur. Now peep below...

Sony fans didn't care and downplayed what Microsoft is doing. I called it future proofing and Sony isn't and can never catch-up. Your Stanbase ignored that only Microsoft, Amazon and Google have mega clouds. Microsoft now the leader in that, I know they spent over 25 billion at the minimum on their cloud solution while Sony Gaikai cost 350 million. It's only capable of streaming in 720p and that fluctuates. Isn't designed to handle anything necessary to run like gamepass does from a technical standpoint but you never once even began to think about that even tho I been here with pom-poms since 2013 screaming this like :damn:

Most ppl who speak on this don't even understand why gamepass is great. They talk shyt about the non AAA games when in reality that's the secret sauce for the service. but I digress yet again...

To put it in perspective Microsoft makes more off the cloud per year than Sony is worth
Cloud growth continues to power Microsoft as company beats estimates with $33.1B in revenue
Just looked through game pass first time bunch of games I can’t wait to play like journey to the savage planet is 30 plus on PSstore. there’s mad games I want to play that ik I’ll just run through one time that I can’t justify buying it anybody who shyt on gamepass is strange. I got a free trail of ps now and finally played grim fandango one of my favorite games I play this year no lie .

If we being honest they need to step it up in regards to their PS1 and 2 ip and work.

They have the connections and talent to put out new versions of shyt and could scoop up tons of hidden gems to fill out a variety of differeny genres. I'm talking Tomba, Alien retribution, Dark Cloud, Syphon filter, shyt bring some people on to actually give us 8 Days and Agent or whatever from the PS3 days that turned to vaporware.

Also they need to figure out a solution for BC through PSNow by the end of the year. We need the treasure trove of content through subscription since thats what Gamepass was and still is big for outside of day one release. You do that and nurture the inhouse and talent of your first and second(?) parties you have and grow from there.

Also quit fukking around with Epic and start getting in good with Gabe and Steam. You offer the only viable VR solution on console at the moment I don't see why you can't secure Alyx for PS5 as well as bring some of Valves best multiplayer content to your system.

My fear is that if they continue to buy up studios they WILL grow their install base.

These brehs have enough money to buy EA and Take-2 if they really wanted to.

It's an investment that they aren't ready to dive into while trying to get a new console up and going and grab exclusive deals.

Money is probably already stretching kinda thin. The last thing they probably trying to do is give away games for free or make deals with other publishers and Devs for more content or get the infrastructure in place

I don’t understand why Sony would even WANT to compete with Game Pass. Selling games at full price has been far more lucrative for them than offering up their prized 1st party exclusives on day 1 for 9.99 or whatever Game Pass costs. Can you imagine people copping PS Now for a month off of cdkeys just to play TLO2 and GOT and then dip? That’s $120 in revenue reduced to $10. I think Sony has and will continue to have success with their current business model, unless they start copying MS out of fear.

Sony exclusives sell millions out the gate. They don't need to change anything as long as their consoles are the only place for these games. Does anyone expect Nintendo to roll out a subscription service for their games? Of course not.

they got to stop charging 70 for games though
yeah it will work because everything is new it's next gen
that's why they have generic ass Godfall at 70
but that won't be sustainable IMO
most likely the hardcore people will pay the 70 (plus tax making it about 75) for a game no matter how generic it is while everyone else waits for sales so they can buy the game at the value they think it's worth

I honestly think Game Pass is the best thing that ever happened to Sony. Microsoft can subsidize these gamers’ third party games for $15 a month, leaving the rest of their budget free to purchase PS5 exclusives, whereas earlier they may have had to choose between one or the other.

I believe they are in good standings with Epic . They did buy a 250 million stake in Epic games.
Sony buys $250 million stake in Fortnite creator Epic Games

"Might be the end of Sony."

:snoop:
We talking business get out of your fanboy console shyt.

bro the service grew 5 million from April to August. Total users 15million and growing. The service is here to stay

No is buying on xbox just for skyrim or doom, those have been historically games for PC gamers

Gamepass is on PC stop thinking in console bro I told y’all that shyt is over. It’s releasing these games to the consumer rather it is Xbox PC Phone Etc.. Sony know it’s legit because they are releasing their titles to PC now.

Sony rely on their exclusives bringing customers to their physical product in return buy third party products. If those third party titles are cheaper and offered more by the competition Sony loses.

Either way, I don’t think Sony can afford to sink money into a PS Game Pass for years and years, especially since Microsoft will continue to float Xbox no matter what. Sony is better off not competing at all, it’s just a race to the bottom for them. They should just do their own thing imo, they have enough of a cult following who won’t switch to Xbox no matter what.

They can buy the studio but if Bioware has taught me anything if the talent leaves it don't matter much.
