And yeah he screamed muh premiums and muh shrink as an excuse. Then multiple people explained how ACA has nothing to do with that, with links as proof. He now is counter caping for McCain. Here is the thing. Now what is going to happen is republicans are going to try and undermine it like they've been doing by cutting money for it.
So this thing isn't over. What democrats need to do is start introducing improvements to the program instead of marking this as a win, wiping their hands, and moving on. Tackle drug price. Tackle rising premiums. This isn't done.
Republicans will not drop it either. Expect them to use this in 2018 and 2020 as premiums continue to rise as proof that they were stopped from doing the right thing even though their plan would have made the situation worse. Not to mention before ACA, premiums rose at a faster rate and this has slowed the rate down.

Even though the bill failed it's crucial that the Dems stay on the offensive and don't let apathy creep into the resistance leading up to '18. Clearly explain to the American people how demonic the Reps are for trying to sneak a hastily crafted deathcare bill through in the middle of the night. Turtle's concession speech revealed that Reps have every intention to flip the blame on the Dems for any future healthcare problems, and they'll do it without shame.
