best action game since ninja gaiden black/ng2 for me spend hours getting crash dummied and literally raped at times then when you hit that parry nirvana everyone is food out here got it a while back and finally had some time to put into it.

Either learn how to deflect or run away at a diagonal angle and bait his aerial ground attack, dodge and get your hits in only when he lands that specific attack.

Running and Baiting his attacks takes longer but isnt too hard.

Finally beat the game today. Demon Genichiro/Isshin The Sword Saint killed me at least 30 times in total before I finally beat him
