Honestly, the linearity and streamlining they did made this their easiest game to get into/through for me. The fact that I knew I wasn’t wasting stats and/or picking wrong builds made it easier to keep trying when I got stuck. Usually I just say fukk it at a certain point with From games :russ: plus the fact that they *reward aggression meant less waiting around, and long ass fights
This

dark souls 3 is objectively more difficult with having to have a meta build / gain levels

All facts

Dark Souls 3 is much easier to me. If you’re having a hard time you can summon other players and NPCs to help

Just finished Bloodborne - well almost, Gehrman is a bytch to defeat - but have read a lot of things on this. Is this harder than Bloodborne?

I've got the plat for Sekiro, I'm got stuck on Amygdala and the bloodlckers at Cainhurst stayed killing me for the longest.

Bloodborne is way harder in my opinion, Sekiro you never really run out of consumables and your health packs refill automatically.

Sekiro is harder than Bloodborne if you don’t play it the “right” way. The game is about parrying and aggressiveness. It has skill check bosses and enemies that will absolutely destroy you if you aren’t at the proper parrying level on some “If you can’t parry this guy, you’re just not ready for the next wave of bosses”.

Bloodborne can be played a LOT of ways and the different weapons / builds mean you can do a LOT of things to make the game easier. I just ran through the game as a gunslinger / Bloodtinge Build that was stupid fun but stupid easy. You can’t do that in Sekiro.

Would this be recommended for a casual gamer?

It’s really not that hard. It feels really punishing in the beginning but when you realize the parry window is pretty forgiving as is the Mikiri Counter (YOUR MUST GET SKILL, IT’S INTEGRAL TO THE GAME), the game becomes much easier.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Although I do hope they keep making their traditional more open ended approach games for the heads who love em, I hope they also make more of these streamlined games. I just don’t have the time, or desire anymore to figure out how I wanna go about these kinda games. Just give me one main skillset and force me to master it. Plus this is as close to classic Tenchi as we’ll probably ever get :mjcry:

Also, I love how you mostly gotta bring it straight to bosses’ doorsteps, so it’s usually wash or get washed and start over pretty quickly

I like how intense but short the boss fights can be in Sekiro but the buildup of Bloodborne bosses just can’t be matched.

I also like some of the weirder and less conventional bosses more in Bloodborne/Souls. The Folding Screen monkeys and the Mist Nobles weren’t as fun as fighting Micolash or the Abyss Watchers.

The mini bosses also tend to be fun as fukk and I like how they’ll just be chilling at random places.

Lol, did you beat Darkeater Midir the optional dragon boss in the Ringed City DLC without help? I definitely couldn’t do it alone.
I just finished all the main game tasks and went into the painting.

I'll quit playing a game before I ask for help

I had to stop for a while and come back to fight the nameless king. That fool was a nightmare

The dragon is even harder than nameless king
