Lady Butterfly :piss::rip:

Took me about 8000 deaths to beat that bytch.

Crazy is I had a beautiful run going to beat her, I had her down to about a quarter on her second phase with my health full and not having resurrected yet, I got lazy for one second and got bombarded by those fireworks and it took my entire life bar..

Then I killed the bytch and popped off only to release she wasn't dead! I didn't know you need to hit bosses with an extra death blow. Thank God she didn't touch me on the time I wasn't even paying attention to the game. I might have thrown my controller through the screen if I died there

So I was wandering around and found something interesting: a big bell. It's got an ominous sign on it, and a rope that you can use to activate the bell. Evidently it's the Bell Demon (first thing I've looked up on this game), and when you ring it, it makes the enemies harder (more life, stronger attacks), but they also drop better loot. Upon ringing it, you get your own little mini-bell in your inventory that will revert your game back to normal. You can ring each bell as much as you want.

I'll spoiler the location in case someone wants to find it themselves. I'll do it in 2 parts, one being where it is, the other how to get there.

It's in Senpou Temple, across from the bridge where you fight the Armored Knight on. If you stand to the left of the bridge entrance and look up and to the left, you can see it and a Sculptor's Idol. The Idol is what caught my attention, and decided to find a way across.
If you're standing at the entrance to the bridge, turn around and go up towards the top of the cliff that's behind the bridge. You should find a red and white pinwheel, or if you already found it, that's where you wanna be. Now staring out over the cliff, look down and to the right. You should see two walls that you can grab onto on the side of a cliff across the way. I ran and jumped off the cliff towards that direction, and spammed the square button to grab onto the ledge. Got it on my first try. Climb up, then there will be two walls that you jump your way up to the top. You should find a White Pinwheel up there, then jump across and make your way up to the building that you go through to get to the bell. In that building, you'll also find some loot, as well as a double-sided wall that leads to a surprise.

You could also get there from ashina outskirts. I had the bell temple unlocked long before i went to its respective area. Played 3 full areas without realising you can turn it off :skip:

Very few games where the main form of attack is with a sword have had a combat system in place where boss fights or just enemies in general feel like you’re really locked in a fast pace sword fight with them like this game, and with how punishing the damage is on this game you are forced into it to rather than just swiping away or waiting for an opening.

Once you understand how the poise system works and how to weave in attacks between deflecting instead of always being on the defence you realise how fukking dope the combat in this game is, some of these boss fights with other sword users has looked like shyt straight out of a movie.

So that means the surprise on the other side of that double wall is the same one that's in the Ashina Outskirts? Good to know. I still gotta figure out how to not get all slowed down against that thing. Makes it impossible to move and dodge.
