Aggressive for phase 1 weaving in hits between parrying all her attacks once you know her combos for phase 1, dodging and carefully planned hits when she’s left open after her attack’s for phase 2.

I filled her poise bar and deathblowed her first phase when she still had more than half her health, couldn’t get away with that during phase 2 with all of those unblockable butterfly’s hitting you all the time.

My dumbass thought I only had one phase to worry about :francis: it’s too much shyt going on in that second phase for me to learn and execute on today. I hate this old bytch

Speaking on a wider scale I do have to question the design decision of making such a permanent feeling punishment like dragon rot in a game where you literally have to try and fail in order to beat it.

I saw a commercial for this game earlier today and want to check it out, but I keep hearing about how hard it is. I don't have to patience anymore for super hard games. People used to say that Ninja Gaiden was hard, but once I got the hang of it, it was fun. Is this game really as hard as people say it is?

Did y’all rush Butterfly focusing on dodging and countering or parrying? I feel like countering is working for me but I keep falling short with an inch of her guard left
On her i mainly dodged and counter attacked, I'd parry when absolutely necessary. Make sure you use shurikens on her when she goes up on her string

I played the NG games pretty much day one when they came out. This is much harder. I feel like some people are really bad at recognizing patterns and tells for enemy attacks. I feel like its harder than the Souls games but still more accesible. I feel like if you can play action games, this could be dope for you. Not a lot of RPG elements like the Souls games where you regret upgrading this or leveling that.

But yeah, dawg, its hard as fukk. The best gamers I know are getting their asses kicked. So worth it when you beat a mini boss or a boss tho :whew:

Do you have the flamethrower?
Ogre is the only mid boss who didn't really give me problems. He telegraphs a lot. Just dodge, hit him with the flamethrower and then get your shots in.

I'm lowkey retarded. I went through that "flashback" and didnt realize i could jump down and explore the new place. so i just went back to the thing and teleported to take on the ogre. After a few times I got him but it sucked. Shoulda paid attention to the dude talking about red eyes hating fire and knew I was missing out.
