Lady Butterfly's 2nd phase is bullshyt.
You can cheese the shyt out of the first form with the Nightjar Slash, just keep mashing it and she can't move.

For the second form, you can still use it but have to be more careful. You might only get 3-4 of them in but she'll break out of it. When she summons illusions just avoid them, and she'll wipe them out herself and shoot a large projectile at you. Then mash that shyt on her again.

Fight is surprisingly easy this way

Ay yo I feel like I got bullshytted somebody please respond to this. So I’m fighting the drunkard dude, and I get a stealth kill before the shyt pops off, to get one orb off of him. Then I get his hp all the way down and get a death blow, but he doesn’t lose an orb, and his hp just refilled :dwillhuh:
This happened to me too the first time. I downed him once myself, then ran over to the friendly breh to tagteam his second bar, but this fukker got all his health back :dead:

It's either a glitch or there's an arbitrary invisible "fog gate" that you have to stay within

i can't get the parrying down.. and i'm playing this like Bloodbourn. It's discouraging to see the enemies posture go back up after only a few hits. How do you maintain the attack and defend at the same time? :beli:

I didn't have that for that fight. I had Floating Passage equipped, and she just swings through like it's nothing. I had her first phase down pat, and once I figured out I could basically run around the outside until she gets rid of her summons, then hide behind a pillar while she shot all of them orbs at me, it took me just 2 tries to finish her. The first time I caught on a bit late, had her 2 hits away, but was one hit away myself. Got lazy and wasn't blocking while she shot her knives and orbs at me straight up and died. Went in the next time and finished the fight. So yeah, get very friendly with the block button. You can block all of her attacks. Once you figure out her pattern and openings, the first phase is relatively easy.

I wish I could fight her again to try that Nightjar Slash on her. Wonder why it's so effective on her.

Speaking of Combat Arts, something I forgot to say last night @Knowledge :

I don't know how you fight, but (especially in this fight) I like to hit out of blocking alot, and it gets tricky because I do Combat Arts alot without really meaning to. This was happening the first couple of times I fought him, so I took it off, and beat him the first time after I did.

The one thing about this game that is a bit frustrating (besides my obvious gripes about the player and dodge movement just needing to be a bit quicker) is the inconsistency with grapple opportunities. I mean, one second I can be grappling on roofs and buildings, then move on a bit and all of a sudden can't grapple on any roofs or buildings. You gave me a grappling hook...let me use that bytch. Also having (depending on how you choose to progress) back-to-back boss fights where it doesn't come into play is a bit dumb too. Again, lemme use the damn thing.

How is that the first boss u fought? Which stage is she the boss of
She's the boss of that estate place and she's got the little boy that you're trying to rescue. I ran into the snake boss first but I had no idea how to beat it so I left.

Maybe you need to dodge / counter attack more, doing so reduces the regeneration rate of enemies postures substantially.

I know if you stealth attack and then come back and try to stealth attack a second time he gets his health back...I pulled that entire pack of enemies after stealth attacking him, as I was running away I saw that friendly npc, talked to him to see if he'd give me anything then continued running away, saw in the distance that they started fighting him and then I turned back to help but he was already dead  I didn't think they would attack him or he was interested in helping.

It's kinda wild that From Software went and made a game in a setting that fans of Assassin's Creed been asking for...for years.
Pretty sure the next AC game is set in Japan, I think there is an Easter egg that hints at it at the end of the last one because there was also an Easter egg at the end of origins that hinted at odyssey
