Ok, I figured it out.
The thing about dark souls is that you can play how you want. There’s literally dozens of different playstyles you can build your character around. From a fast dodging/parrying ninja, to a big armored knight.
It seems what From did with bloodborne and now Sekiro is they took one playstyle/build and made an entire game around it, added some unique enemies and challenges based off that style of play, and fleshed out the gameplay in that context.
Which is why it can look like a Souls game, but also look/feel “new”

I don't get why you can't just play the game then decide how similar/different it is from the Souls series. shyt makes no sense. How are you calling out cats for having "zero experience with Souls games"....but in the same breath trying to argue about the game play of "Sekiro", a game you literally have zero experience with?

Bloodbourne and Dark Souls 3 are the only FromSoftware games I've played.

I haven't posted anything to suggest the nonsense you're talking. You said this shyt plays like a Soulsborne game, I told you to actually play it before you come to that conclusion.
How the fukk you got "he's never beaten any From Software game" out of that, I have no idea. Other than a ridiculous amount of hubris.
Anyway, I'll be on this game the week end it comes out. If not day 1. Maybe it'll have memory leak issues so some of you can beat the bosses.
