Nope wrong Dreamcast is the incarnate of every major console released afterwards. In fact Xbox is like a pseudo Dreamcast two. Dreamcast lists of firsts: first with online play built in, first with interactive lcd controler, first with web browser etc. The system was game changing!

The XBOX was the first one to do online gaming well on consoles, this is not even debatable.

The LCD controller was the first and last since 1999...there is a reason that nobody has tried to shoehorn it in there since. We will see what the Wii U can do with their new gimmick.

The Browser was wack.

The XBOX:
First to come with a hard drive
First GOOD online console experience
First controller setup and franchise that showed that FPS can indeed be done on consoles

The XBOX had better hardware and vision for the future. The dreamcast had better games.

i had xbox and i loved it nfl fever i could save any time and reload it any time, halo the first time i came upon the flood, dead or alive 3, project gotham, Knights of the Old Republic (still play it on my 360)

Dreamcast was hands down one of the most promising systems ever...if it didnt fail it woulda been better than Genesis to me. .online multiplayer..web browser..burned games..great exclusives..virtual memory card...and the shyt looked sexy as fukk...I was playin my dreamcast the other day...OG xbox is ill as well cause of the emulation capabilities..

Sega Saturn had online play. Just proves that Sega was always ahead of its time with technology innovation but sucked with doing business.

As I said before Xbox was built on the Dreamcast formula, Seganet worked well for me. The Wii U is just a evolution of the Dreamcast controller with the vue unit.
