Damn Strider was lights out and imploded in the 7th

Our June-early July run was crazy impressive and historic, so these recent losses have those overreacting fans goin crazy on social media :skip:

We dont have the pitching. We have 1.5 starting pitchers at the moment and no bullpen.

fam, there's no way you can take this small sample size of L's and say that. Ok, Elder has had his two of his three worst starts in back to back appearances, so you just throw out his other starts? Morton and Strider are 1 and 2 in a playoff series, plus we've got Fried coming back next week

In spite of recent implosions, our bullpen has the best ERA in the NL (3rd in the majors)

As long as we have those 3-4 starters and decent bats, I trust the squad. And I trust AA has some moves up his sleeve to shore up the weak areas

Strider I have as a definite starter but as a 6 innings high 2. I can’t give Strider true number 1 status until he get a consistent 3rd pitch. Morton realistically was signed to be the 4th starter. Your 4th starter in the playoffs isn’t who you depend on to carry you as they usually only get 1 start.

Unless a trade is made for a proven starter our playoffs hinge on Fried coming back and being himself with no setbacks.

Anything we get from Elder is a bonus as he hasn’t seen pressure baseball to this point.

Outside of Minter I don’t trust anyone in our pen in high leverage situations and he is currently out hurt.

Nah Morton was signed to be a regular season #3 at worst and a #2/game clinching starter for the playoffs. Wright and Strider have out performed him in stretches which has made him a luxury to have as a 4. But part of his signing was due to his rep from his Astros and Rays days as a clutch postseason performer.

Nobody’s paying a late 30s guy $20 million to be a back end rotation guy (except the Mets) :lolbron:

I agree on your other points
