So many Braves fans complained about Orlando Arcia being the Braves starting shortstop and now he's the starting shortstop for the NL All Star Team!

The way he's made moves and gave up virtually nothing is crazy. Literally every single player he's traded except Contreras has gotten worse/not lived up to their prospect hype, and he traded him for the best catcher since prime Buster Posey
Got the most 1st Baseman-ass 1st Baseman in the league for a pitcher with a 6+ ERA in the bigs and a CF who couldn't make the worst team in baseball
Brought up Randy Johnson's short right-handed son and Ken Griffey II to finish 1st and 2nd in ROY before they could crack top 50 prospect lists
And got them, another starting all-star SS, 2 more all-star backups, and the BEST EVERYDAY PLAYER IN BASEBALL all signed to Bad Boy 360 deals

He also got Iglesias for cheap. Relievers are volatile but he's here long term.
This is why I'll usually be in favor of trading prospects for proven players.
Look at all the bench and bullpen guys he added as well that other teams could have had.

This ain't a criticism but Soroka is gonna struggle in the majors until he can build his arm back up. That's just what happens when you miss 3 years.

Uhh it’s an interesting question. They extended Arcia through ‘26 so SS was already iffy to begin with now that’s out. He’s definitely expendable at this point
