quare Enix announced on Friday that it is developing a remake of the Secret of Mana(Seiken Densetsu 2) game for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC via Steam. The remake will feature full 3D graphics, voice acting, and rearranged music. The PS4 and PC versions will feature three-player multiplayer, and the PS Vita version will support ad-hoc multiplayer. All versions are slated for release in Japan, North America, and Europe on February 15, 2018. Square Enix is streaming an English and Japanese video previewing the graphics, music, and new English and Japanese voice tracks.

Those who pre-order the game in all three regions will receive DLC "moogle suit" costumes for Randi, Prim, and Popoi, a "tiger two-piece" costume for Primm, and a "tiger suit" costume for Randi and Popoi.
Square Enix released the original game on the Super Famicom (SNES) in 1993 as a sequel to Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden (Final Fantasy Adventure), and the game is the first in the series to not bear the Final Fantasy franchise name in the title. Square Enixrecently re-released the game in Japan on the Nintendo Switch alongside the first and third games on June 1.
The Seiken Densetsu franchise marked its 25th anniversary last year. The original Seiken Densetsu -Final Fantasy Gaiden- (Final Fantasy Adventure) game debuted for Game Boy in 1991. Square Enix released a remake of the original game for PlayStation Vita as well as iOS and Android devices in Japan in February 2016. The Englishversion of the game simultaneously launched for iOS and Android devices under the title Adventures of Mana, and launched on PS Vita in June 2016.
Square Enix released Seiken Densetsu 3 for Super Famicom in 1995, and the game has never shipped in the West or for another system.
