quare Enix announced on Friday that it is developing a remake of the Secret of Mana(Seiken Densetsu 2) game for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC via Steam. The remake will feature full 3D graphics, voice acting, and rearranged music. The PS4 and PC versions will feature three-player multiplayer, and the PS Vita version will support ad-hoc multiplayer. All versions are slated for release in Japan, North America, and Europe on February 15, 2018. Square Enix is streaming an English and Japanese video previewing the graphics, music, and new English and Japanese voice tracks.

Those who pre-order the game in all three regions will receive DLC "moogle suit" costumes for Randi, Prim, and Popoi, a "tiger two-piece" costume for Primm, and a "tiger suit" costume for Randi and Popoi.

Square Enix released the original game on the Super Famicom (SNES) in 1993 as a sequel to Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden (Final Fantasy Adventure), and the game is the first in the series to not bear the Final Fantasy franchise name in the title. Square Enixrecently re-released the game in Japan on the Nintendo Switch alongside the first and third games on June 1.

The Seiken Densetsu franchise marked its 25th anniversary last year. The original Seiken Densetsu -Final Fantasy Gaiden- (Final Fantasy Adventure) game debuted for Game Boy in 1991. Square Enix released a remake of the original game for PlayStation Vita as well as iOS and Android devices in Japan in February 2016. The Englishversion of the game simultaneously launched for iOS and Android devices under the title Adventures of Mana, and launched on PS Vita in June 2016.

Square Enix released Seiken Densetsu 3 for Super Famicom in 1995, and the game has never shipped in the West or for another system.

The Seiken Densetsu: Rise of Mana game launched for iOS and Android devices in 2014, and Square Enix released the game for PlayStation Vita in 2015.

Here's my question. I know the hype for this will be huge. But let's be reality, nobody REALLY gives a fukk about this game. You know why?

Who here has gone back to play this? The game is 25yrs old, anyone playing final fantasy 1,2,3 these days? Or in the last 20yrs?

Get hyped, I was too for a second when I read the article this morning. But I knew damn well I'm not gonna put in the hours. And it releases in the beginning of February. Will you be done with your holiday games a month later? This game will come and pass just like Double Dragon 4 :francis:

In other words....the only old games you care about are the ones that are backwards compatible on XB1...but we already knew this. :coffee:
That little tidbit of hypocrisy aside...I actually agree with you overall on this one.
I couldn't really care less about this one. Not only is it another remake in a sea of ports and remakes...graphically it looks like a gamecube game. :yeshrug:

One of the greatest games to drop on the snes. Can't even think of another 3 player game on the system at the moment.

The things that made it great are also the things that would get hate this day in age.

Also not a fan of having voice over, but we'll see.
