You clearly have no concept of the applicant pool for a $10 an hour job. I love that paying low-skill employees dollars above minimum wage is considered cut rate wages.

Liberals :mjlol:

Why are you paying them at all in the first place? You weren't capable of tricking them into a life of indentured servitude? You deserved to fail.

come to think of it

the mcdouble has gone up 20¢ the last couple of years in ohio to coincide with the 70¢ minimum wage increase

Im sure increasing the payroll by over 100% will only have a mark up of 17% :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

if you are working a $10 job then you aren't very skilled, the pickings are slim breh

I owned a landscaping business for 4 years (until it cut too much into my schooling)

Trying to find someone to cut grass, pull weeds, plant plants, and lay stones is a pain in the ass

That doesn't require any skill at all

:childplease: :childplease: :childplease:

You clearly don't live in the real world, there are plenty of competent people that would love to make $10/hr in this economy, especially college students. When I was in college most jobs around campus paid $8.50/hr or less, and it was tough to get anything paying 10 or over. And these are perfectly competent and often very intelligent college students.

Finding somebody decent to take the job should be the LEAST of your problems. You could put up a flyer in any nearby college campus and I guarantee you'll get tons of applicants. If you think that everybody working a low wage job is a high school dropout, felon, or idiot then you clearly live in a different country than the rest of us.

Since you live in the real world, tell me about the business you own where you've hired competent employees for low wages who have stayed with your company for an extended period of time.

ok u got me on the link:pachaha:

their prices went up 20¢ because beef went up 7%

but increasing your payroll by 100% will only raise the prices by 17% :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

UP TO 17%. The 17% isn't even a guarantee. And that figure comes from someone being cautious about the wage increase. But since you find it so laughable perhaps you'd like to throw some well researched figures out there.

The question you should be asking yourself is why can't you attract competent employees at that wage level?

:why:

Why are you confused? Jobs that require little skill attract people with few skills. Overqualified people exist, but are temporary. I pay people more money to grow the business, not maintain the business.

How valiant of you. Cause imagine if he only had half that to spend. Poor guy would quit over night or run the company into the dirt.

I think it is quite a valid point when discussing Corporations who pay minimum wage. Treat the tops like Kings and pay the people who make your corporation function pennies. They don't even try and act like they give a fukk.
I hate to do this...but...

You know why CEOs get paid so much right?

Thats a HIGH risk job mind you.

And this isn't a popsicle stand. We're talking one of the largest companies in the world. That counts for something.

I don't wade into how company execs spend their money unless we're talking about lower level people.

CEOs are THE frontline of these massive companies and when they do bad, they suffer...but if they do well, they're rewarded.
