CEO of Walmart makes 16,826 an hour (35,000,000 a year.) More in 1 hour than a Walmart employee makes all year - even at full time (2087 hours of work.)
U wry bout the rawng thangs, the rawng thangs

There are like 2-3 million Walmart workers. If the CEO gave up his salary that would be about $10-15 a person. Lets focus on solutions that work and problems that are relevant.

So for people who support this. . . who are you? Are you someone who dreams of a utopia, but has never worked with someone who truly deserves the minimum wage for their level of ability? Are you someone with that low level of ability who embraces the American entitlement dream where your meager ability merits more money? Are you someone who only associates business with major corporations and because you see the CEO of Wal-mart making crazy money, you assume small businesses can afford to nearly double the hourly wage for employees with only the most basic of abilities?

I own a business with four full-time employees, who I pay $10 an hour to do low-level tasks and they even struggle with those low-level tasks. If I was forced to pay those guys $15 an hour, those four people would be out of a job and I would call it a day on the business.

I'll put it too you this way, i was somebody who believed that every person in a good paying job is worthy of it, after becoming an adult you see the opposite. I see those who are 40-50 working less than i did when i was 10 years old doing farm work. I see old men and woman sitting.....all day.......reading excel documents and making phone calls, and actually calling that work... i see people come in from doing 2-3, 1 hour meetings, and being completely exhausted, pretending as if they just climbed mount everest, for a young person like me, who does that type of physical activity in the morning........................before i even get to work......................it's hard to actually agree that a teenager wouldn't be worth 15 dollars an hour. The reality is your 10 dollars an hour isn't enough, and if you can't afford to pay more, you would definitely have to call it a day in business. I think the small business excuse is lame, lots of the time it seems like somebody who is doing pretty damn good for themselves, who just doesn't want to fuk that up, well you don't always get your way. Also how long are you planning on paying somebody 10 dollars? Do you not give raises? Do you expect somebody to work with you for years and STILL pay them 10 dollars? Also, why does owning a small business entitle you to be banking money? It seems like every business owner in general feels that they have some god given right to be banking money like a CEO just because they own a business.

I don't hate small business but regular citizens shouldn't be sacrificed just because a dude who runs a small business can't afford it, they should lobby to get pay regulation or something, like if you're business makes such and such workers can only be payed such and such, that way a guy who does plumbing or something can still do that, and the people hording money into their gullet at wallmart can come off some of that and pay people.
