Stephen A may be the face of ESPN, but he's still an employee. And his employers control what gets said on his shows.

You're right, but at the same time let any black man get a positive weed test and they're let him lead in the first 10 minutes of Sportscenter to yell about it and put him on an ESPN press run to give takes.

He doesn't strike me as someone who is unaware of how they do us and is complicit along with his employers.

That's pathetic. The story been out since Monday. I can understand the Seahawks waiting to gather info (even tho they took too long and issued a BS statement), but the media is responsible for reporting this story. The websites have articles, but it's not a headline as the story been buried on their page. Their reaction to Nate shows that they weren't supposed to be bringing this topic up.

Crazy how Nate and Marcus Spears had to slide it in during the broadcast instead of talking on it as a story. This is supposed to have Stephen A written all over it, but quite frankly the network probably didn't greenlight it. They would've had no issues if the athlete was black, especially, if the victim was white. It would've made national news and probably would've had another campaign going with Cris Carter shedding tears. Yet, the most we're getting out of this story is that they guy was battling mental health issues instead of reporting this as a domestic violence case. Watch the NFL flip it and start a campaign where they are advocates for mental health awareness.

I literally don't care about any "corrective" action that's been taken.

It's nothing for Seattle to be like "We not bringing him back :hubie:" He was gonna be a free agent in a month anyway.

It's not enough that he was charged with what he was charged with. That man said "Wow, you're still alive?" That warrants an attempted murder charge. Charge him like he was black.

It's not enough that he is claiming this was part of a manic episode or that Seattle wants him to get the help he needs. He had an incident back in college that suggested he needed help then and didn't get it. Should have vetted him.

This ain't enough. Until domestic violence cases like these are legitimately a zero tolerance matter in the NFL, I do not care what they did or what they said to show they are "down for the cause."
