It’s going to be Hocul Vs. James and I honestly can’t say who will win. Letitia has been building up for this run, but Hocul will at that point be the incumbent and have that advantage working for her.

Hocul is not going to play well in NYS. She doesn’t have personality to rally support around her. She is super moderate. I see her as a place holder similar to David Paterson.

I don't see NY voting in a progressive/lefty for Governor.
Hocul has no base. You need to be popular in The NYC metro area to get elected in NYS. She barely won her race for Lt Governor, and she doesn’t have a lot of support in NYC. She is not even that popular in the Buffalo area and she is from There. The only way she would have a chance is if the big donors get behind her and I still think she would lose.

I think a progressive is possible, but Letitia James is the clear front runner. I don’t look at her as a progressive but she would be a major upgrade from Cuomo or Hocul.
