I might have to agree with an edge over Nas because I am one who believed that the ones who originated the style are the greatest. And on that same note, I say Scarface is my #2 and then Nas. I say Scarface because gangsta rap and that street/real rap has gotten so big. The hard and believable gangsta rap was perfected by scarface. I think that he is the godfather of real gangsta rap. not that comedic stuff that NWA and Ice cube did but straight up nikkas with problems, issues and straight up crazy gangsta/street stuff. Thats all scarface. He inspired your Nas, BIG and Jay Z'.

i agree with a lot of this except he ice cube slander. when cube went solo and added that politcal and nationalist bent to his gangsta shyt, that shyt was so dope and important and puts him in my top 5 with rakim, scarface, nas, pac and cube.

Ok, I will take it easy on Cube because I was a Cube fan too. However, still for the hard and real gansta stuff, one needs to look no further than Scarface. Cube was the first to really combine that political, conscious and militant edge with that gansta stuff. Pac took it from there.

I remember Face bigging up K-Rino a lot, saying he's the best rapper from Houston, and that people sleep on him a lot. And pretty much he can't be outshined on a track at full peak.

Also bigged up KRS-One, wanted to redo the Criminal Minded album too.
