...I fukkin hate articles that start out with some scene setting detail like that. Talking about how Jim carrey or Britney Spears folds their napkin as they begin eating. So fukkin cliche and desperate by he writer to seem thorough.

Esquire is really bad at that.

Yeah, I love that shyt. It forces the artist to be critical of their shyt. You get some insight into the record-making process that you don't get while they're promoting the records. When they're trying to sell you the shyt, it's "I think this shyt is classic...my best shyt yet...blah, blah, blah." It's cool to hear their opinion/perspective on an album once they get some distance from the project. You get a little more honesty, frankness, and introspection. The Diary and The Fix are my favorite shyt from Face.

I liked when Jay-Z ranked his shyt, too.

There was an article where Jay gave his albums ratings like 4 out of 5, etc. Can't seem to find it and haven't seen it in years. Know anything about it?

Why is The Diary so close to the top, but not all the way?
That’s like my Dark Side of the Moon, when I was feeling the most creative. Those were my weed-smoking days. Mr. Scarface Is Back and The World is Yours, those were me trying to find myself. This is when I came into me, The Diary.

soon as he came back home..he had his ass back to the nikka who he hates..makin albums 4 em...

he can put words in paper...but u not go seen video of face talkin dine on j...breakfast club interview..what that nikka say when lil j was brought up..thats none of my business..i stay out of grown folks business..

i kno he spent time in terrell texas at the state hospital as a kid...i remember him tellin a story..bout how him n a white dude called fozzi escaped n hid at lake tawakoni...

face got hungry n went to one of the families at the lake fishing..askin em which way was park row..kuz he useta get shipped to timberlawn in dallas..he would escape n always end up in south dallas on park row..

the family told him south dallas is a good hour away...he was like bullshyt...where am i...they told em terrell...he said he took his ass back ..broke back in state hospital..n went to bed,,

we died laughin...he said all of this shyt with a straight face

we found nip was lyin after face brought them state hospital files to back all his stories up..
