So who's getting the boot....Kiper or McShay?
Mcshay...I hope...I like Adam schefter and kiper, I would like to see them in regular clothes they are always in a suit
So who's getting the boot....Kiper or McShay?
I mean I'm sure Woj is gonna want a prominent TV role since he had an ego like most people but he's not very tv friendly the times I've seen him. He was one of FS1's NBA guys when they bothered to have a highlights show before they scrapped everything and his personality is bland as toast.
all these years i never knew what woj looked like until i googled him a minute ago.
i just knew him to be nothing more than a name and a twitter account
How has jamele survived so far? I want her and sage gone
So how many women got fired?
The problem is there is content on demand online (YouTube, Twitter, Netflix, etc) that you can get from so many different mediums and people don't need to go to their TV and turn to ESPN or pay for cable at all to access it.I don't have cable and when I did I didn't watch much ESPN. I'd either watch a game I wanted to see or read some highlights online after the fact. Question for the ESPN watchers - aren't there around 4 or 5 ESPN channels. Is there really enough desirable content to warrant the number of channels?
Reading this story makes me think of the problems Cable News has now. So much air time to fill with so little actual news (or desire to address real news). The void gets filled with more and more personality based content providing a "different twist" on the same stories.
Is the issue that there's demand for ESPN but the price point is too high for the consumer since it's bundled with a cable package? Or is it that people just don't want to watch ESPN to the extent they used to?

That's why many cable companies are launching internet packages or merging with internet providers. I expect internet prices to rise rapidly over the years to balance it out for them.
Yep the thing with on demand is that it is a one time show or a show that is maybe 10 episodes in a season like on netflicks.
The issue with ESPN isn't just trying to be greedy and have every sports program. One of the biggest issues is having 24 hour tv shows and radio shows.
ESPN literally has stations in almost every large city in america. While also have nationally broadcasted radio shows from about like 5 am in the morning to say 9 am. Then from like 7 pm to 5 am again when mike and mike comes on.
This is a total waste of money. There is no need to have live sports radio on from 9 pm to 5 am in the morning. Nor is there a need to have a local espn radio station lineup in every major market. If you add up the local ESPN radio lineup and add it to the national ESPN that takes over in the early morning and late at night it is 24 hours of live radio broadcasting in say chicago or dallas or LA and etc. That is just a waste of money.
No wonder ESPN is hemorrhaging money. Then to add on the 5 or 6 cable channels they have plus the SEC channel and Longhorn channel which are both a waste of money.
Think about it......even BET, MTV and TVone show syndicated shows and infomercials to control cable channel cost. Yet ESPN does non of this.
Not a bad idea tbhWhat ESPN needs to do is this:
Get a fitness/nutritional type show for stay at home moms or people who like to get fitness tips. Call Jillian Michaels. There is no reason at 11-3pm when not a damn soul is watching they should be having sportscenter on. Get cooking tips..weight loss tips...have regular people on there with fitness coaches.
Beef up documentaries and original programming. They may need to jump on the bandwagon on some Ninja Warrior/Survivor show.
