i have no idea how espnu and even espn2 even are still things anymore. if you want to have espn, and then an espn-1 or espn+ or something when theres more than 1 desirable game to air then so be it. you dont need 3 24/7 all day networks with their own standalone daytime and nighttime programming. but ive been preaching this shyt for YEARS. put the actual games on espn3, or if you want then bundled with cable do like comcast does and have an extra channel that just shows games when theres a game on the other network at the same time. comcast had their own warriors feed on the main bay area sports feed, and giants/dodgers on bay area plus. also lol @ the irony of this week old news being posted from a yahoo article about a company struggling to stay afloat in 2017

ESPN2 is still a thing because they'll still show stuff that doesn't always cater to the 4 major sports, and those sports are sometimes the only things other channels have as content to show when there ain't a game on (and by other channels I'm taking about CBS, NBC and FS1, the channels fans were begging for in order to have an alternative--- which we now know was nothing but hot air and feelings)

exactly. cut the 10 hours of sportscenter a day and do a damn mini 30 for 30 every fukking week. And if its not a live MAJOR sporting event or original programming, get rid of it.

Dont wanna see SAS yelling all morning and don't wanna see those PTI fukkers debating bullshyt at 5:30. Fans are more connected to athletes thru social media and the on air personalties are annoying as fukk.

When Lavar Ball is a higher draw than your whole on air roster, the ship is going down fast. ESPN News is pointless and so is ESPN2 if theres no live game on. If they are gonna bother to hire athletes to be on air, at least get ones who can convince current players to do some exclusive interviews or something.

Having Lil Wayne and Rae Sremmurd on air is corny as fukk and pandering. Get these lame music artists off the damn network if they arent singing and rapping.

So I'll ask you this: for every other sports channel that does most of what you're asking, why don't you watch it? Sounds like you've just outgrown the need for sports television outside of games and in that case, ESPN can't worry about you since neither they nor anyone else can win you back. ESPN needs a larger presence online no doubt, but there's a large segment of people who don't care to be glued to their phones all day or fiending to stream something. Those are the people ESPN has to worry about (and I say "worry" loosely. Too many people are loyal to the four letters to let it go, including many of y'all)

This aint the 80's/90's espn isn't the primary option for highlights and sports news like it was back in the day.

Sportscenter is wakk,1st take sucks without skip,pti and ath cool.

Games,30 for 30's and occasionally espn:60 the only things on that channel I watch now.

The game done changed Nba.com/nbatv,nfl network and mlb network is better than watching john anderson corny ass talk over highlights.They'll be cutting more personalities based off ratings a year or 2 from now.

ESPN also changed when ABC/b*stard ass mickey mouse Disney bought them. They became a joke of a network.

I didnt mind seeing robert deniro on or george lopez because they actually knew sports but when u bring on these rappers or other entertainers who has no idea about the team they root for or sports is ridiculous.

First take had jessica alba on because she discussing her line of diapers..she had no idea why she was a clippers fan.

Lil wayne comes on and supposed to be a packers fan but has no clue outside of Rodgers who the other players are..

Then they have 4 espn channels all going on at the same time and what they do have sportscenter going on each one or continue to replay college football national championship game

Unless there's a game, I literally never watch ESPN now.

The personalities were good when it was a small part of the overall presentation.
Craig Kilborn and Stuart Scott were just naturally allowing their personalities to shine thru in their broadcasts. But it was never a forced gimmick the way it is with the screaming SAS or the pugnacious Skip Bayless.
When you watched ESPN, you just wanted the highlights.

Now ESPN is just the Cable News of sports, which is to say opinion shows and Cola Wars (I think X team is better. I think Y team is better. Thank you, that's all the time we have. See you next time)

ESPN will survive and will probably renegotiate better contracts in the future. But it'll never be a particularly "watchable" channel.

They don't even have the revolving highlights/updates on ESPN News anymore like they used to and ESPN Classic can be cut too since Youtube is the wave now

Yea I forgot about Clark, that exgiants player along with Jeff Saturday can both bounce and that other player who son is in mlb, can't remember his name but he played for the broncos
