Linda must be feeling the pressure. "John Anderson has chosen to move on from the show." She sounds like she works in HR or public relations for ESPN. She must see the writing on the wall because she has to be the longest tenured anchor at this point.

They did so many people dirty with their non-compete clauses and pulling people off of the air. Max should be doing something, but I kind of respect that he isn't taking less money just to get back in the media.

I hate to see when anyone is forced put of a job due to age and salary, but to be fair, they've been doing this at Bristol for a long time. They're probably both near retirement age and they can probably afford to retire.

To be fair, Max probably had enough status compared to other ESPN talent that had been laid off in that he'd still get all of his bread even if he took another gig in the media just like Key did. Fox just made up the difference to make him whole.

A lot of those other talent that had been laid off likely wouldn't be as lucky as they couldn't afford career wise to sit out the remainder of their contract and out of the public eye and needed something ASAP even if it meant losing out on the ESPN money.

Damn. Writing was kind've on the wall here, though. RG3 got replaced by Jason Kelce, and Samantha Ponder has been getting a little too spicy online in recent years for someone who wasn't exactly replaceable.

"I'm free to talk now that I'm free of Disney" press run on deck for her, probably. :mjlol:
