Should have went to The Ringer from the beginning, but I can't blame her for not turning down the milli that ESPN was offering. ESPN threw the bag at her without knowing how to fully utilize her all because they were enamored by her winning that Emmy for Garbage Time.

Watson’s decision to step down comes following a New York Times report on Monday questioning the validity of Ozy’s various traffic claims, and revealing that Ozy co-founder Samir Rao had posed as a YouTube executive, touting Ozy’s success, during a conference call with Goldman Sachs bankers in February.

Watson co-founded Ozy, described as “a multi-platform media company that aims to help curious people see a broader and bolder world,” in 2013. He hosts “The Carlos Watson Show” for the service, which also operates the festival event OzyFest, and has been behind series such as PBS’ “Third Rail With Ozy” and “OWN Spotlight: Black Women OWN the Conversation,” which won a news Emmy last year.

But in the New York Times report written by Ben Smith, some of Ozy’s claims about its audience size have been called into question, including a 2019 press release that claimed 50 million monthly unique users.

A lot of us have called it for a while now. Bomani should have been looking out for himself instead of worrying about sticking with Pablo. He's taking TK spot at PTI when it's time, while Bomani has been languishing around since with no sense of direction.

Meadowlark Media and more than likely still the HBO show with Bob Costas. I'm guessing we'll eventually see Jalen Rose leaving as well since there's no way that ESPN is still going to pay him $3 million dollars just to do Jalen & Jacoby.

I was never big on Jemele but she was no worse than any of her male counterparts so I supported. As for NFL talk and analysis, I think everybody but former players and coaches are trash at that. Mina does as well as someone who wasn’t in those roles can do.

I give Dan Lebatard all the credit for making him palatable to me. Bo on HQ, and his appearances on DLS, isn't the super serious smug Bo that he was on other shows early on. The right time is hit or miss, he can get back on his arrogant tip occasionally, whatever he does next, I hope he has the awareness to know he needs a cohost who keeps him from fully smelling himself
