Ball game!
The part I find rather strange and annoying about the media/sports journalism in general is how are they are always talking about and clamoring for people to lose their job/get replaced. Yet get upset when people don't feel any sympathy when the tables are turned. They aren't immune from losing their jobs no more than the rest of us.
They're about to see that soon post Trump presidency TV ratings when viewers tune out in droves.
Get that corny MFer "Papi" the fukk outta here...Dan LeBetards dad....
I knew ESPN jumped the shark once they gave that lame a position within the company. On air shuckin and skirtin by, wit that bootleg Tony Montana accent. How'd he even survive the first purge?
Dan Lebetard is trash too. These are the types of decisions, why ESPN is on life support anyway.
This.
NBC is not going to easily give up Sunday Night Football. All they have is Notre Dame football and the NFL. Anyone that brings up Disney needs to realize that NBC is owned by Comcast and they made 30 billion more in 2019 than Disney did.
Also, I think the NFL prefers NBC too because they're really good at producing the Sunday night game and ESPN has done nothing, but botch the fukk out of the MNF brand.
All this. NBC ain't giving up the NFL. Folks forget how they lost the rights to the AFC in the 90s to CBS. Then spent years trying to get back the NFL rights until the mid 2000s and getting the NFL on Sunday Night.
NBC is roling in money with comcast. And disney had been hemorrhaging money with their amusement parks, movies due to covid and paying billions to MLB, NBA and the NFL.
At the moment, ESPN spends $2 billion per year for an inferior Monday Night schedule and no Super Bowls, while NBC writes a check for a mere $950 million for Sunday Night, which includes flexible scheduling.
The report suggests if SNF moved from NBC, it would turn up on ABC rather than ESPN, In such a scenario, NBC would still be in play for Monday or Thursday night action. Both Disney and NBC could try for Fox and CBS’ Sunday afternoon packages.
ESPN’s current “Monday Night Football” deal concludes after next season, while NBC, CBS and FOX’s NFL TV contracts will be completed following the 2022-23 Super Bowl.

That's because MNF used to be the premier prime time NFL game and ESPN fukking ruined the brand. I remember when SNF first got presented as an option and everyone going WTF, but NBC turned it into a more valuable property. ESPN tanked MNF with all of their ESPN bullshyt. They're just bad at producing NFL games and NBC is just better at producing live sports (Their olympic coverage is dope af too).

If it's just me then it's just me, but I like the commentators they put in place. For some reason it always feels like their shots are crisper than other networks. When the sports are happening they're not throwing out a ton of useless ass information for no reason.their olympic coverage is universally hated breh shyts awful...too many commercial breaks, commercial breaks are too long, delayed airing of live sports and so much more
