The part I find rather strange and annoying about the media/sports journalism in general is how are they are always talking about and clamoring for people to lose their job/get replaced. Yet get upset when people don't feel any sympathy when the tables are turned. They aren't immune from losing their jobs no more than the rest of us.

They're about to see that soon post Trump presidency TV ratings when viewers tune out in droves.

Not a good look seeing as they are about to offer $1 billion+ for SNF and likely higher in an attempt to outbid NBC. With that being said, If you haven't received a contract extension yet, then it's more than likely an end of your tenure at ESPN (Golic Sr.).

Where you think they getting that money from :mjlol:

They won't hit a billion but they will hit enough to offset some of the cost, which is why they are laying people off in the first place...

They'll likely need to go higher if they want the rights as NBC will match whatever ESPN overs. It might end up being a situation like the NBA where they have to overpay for the rights by a considerable amount. Even then, that might not be enough.

Get that corny MFer "Papi" the fukk outta here...Dan LeBetards dad....:pacspit:

I knew ESPN jumped the shark once they gave that lame a position within the company. On air shuckin and skirtin by, wit that bootleg Tony Montana accent. How'd he even survive the first purge? :what:

Dan Lebetard is trash too. These are the types of decisions, why ESPN is on life support anyway.:camby:

This.

NBC is not going to easily give up Sunday Night Football. All they have is Notre Dame football and the NFL. Anyone that brings up Disney needs to realize that NBC is owned by Comcast and they made 30 billion more in 2019 than Disney did.

Also, I think the NFL prefers NBC too because they're really good at producing the Sunday night game and ESPN has done nothing, but botch the fukk out of the MNF brand.

And their pregame shows are terrible (NBA and NFL) and we can include NFL Live in the mix with its revolving door of analyst.
