Saudi money is changing the landscape for many sports. First soccer, then golf, now tennis.

thats why I said they should start a new league in America with Saudi branding

why would they start liv golf if not to do something like this
Where would they play? No NBA arena will let them near theirs.

New arenas take time to build. They also won't be in NBA cities or ones that want NBA teams, so that's every major American city.

I don’t think the mid-season tournament has anything to do with this

they not going to be getting anywhere near money that would rival saudi money

they just have to make the prize monetary because nothing else makes sense.

Are you really that obtuse and dense to not realize that my point is atrocities are still atrocities? FTX stole billions from people.

Nothing I am saying is absolving the Saudis, but instead asking you to do something that you may not be capable of which is think critically.

FTX scammed people. Saudis execute people. FOH with this analogy.

Talking about critically thinking but can't distinguish between a regime executing innnocent people vs people who got fukked investing into something that's not regulated.

Saudis sports washing is in a completely differently level:camby:

Really. I wasn't aware :ohhh:

You still are missing the point. I used FTX as one example that was more immediate, but my more significant point was about major corporations using sponsorships and foundations to hide that they are exploitative and evil. :camby:

Nike with their sweatshops and evil labor practice. Phillip Morris were, and still are, heavy sponsor in auto racing, all of the gambling companies in sports, etc.

Me saying those are also sports washing isn't saying they are the same as the Saudi regime, but that those are also sports washing. But its easier for western minds to only fixate on the evil middle easterners only.

Dude is going on 36 and injured all the time, let’s see if he can even play half a season there without the same motivation or perhaps it’ll work better now that he’s retired from the national team and does t have the same stressful game schedule

Already saw what’s happened with golf.

Now buying up soccer legends.

It might not seem obvious but after reading about the NBAs new “in season tournament” I am convinced this was done to preempt another similar Saudi financed raid on athletic talent.

That’s why the incentives are monetary.

All of these sports leagues limit (although sometimes the enforcement leaves a lot to be desired) financial compensation bc ultimately the owners are king. The saudis are upending that balance by offering these astronomical contracts without anywhere near the kind of off the field obligations.
Saudi money has completely change the premier league.

Just look at Manchester City and Newcastle. Newcastle's fans deserve to be good after the all the dogshyt they dealt with in the last ownership group.

fukk Man City and their 12 fans tho

You don't understand. Saudi Arabia was one of America's closest allies for many years. But since they've bushed Biden's government, they've gone back to being the evil Middle Eastern boogyman.
