Saudi money is changing the landscape for many sports. First soccer, then golf, now tennis.

And we're not even going into the whole sports washing objective Saudis are really up to.
Sports washing is a western term to shyt on oppressive states while ignoring that major companies do the same thing.

The Miami Heat's arena was called FTX Arena, which was trying to sports wash.

:laff:you gotta be a old ass dumb ass boomer in denial
Benz the best and most clinical striker in the world

Fool said china :laff:

You must only be playing FIFA and not actually watching him play. He's washed. Vini Jr. is the star of that team now. As for the most clinical, obviously Mbappe and Haaland are far superior right now.

While I do think what the Saudis do with the LIV golf and Newcastle is sports washing, he's right that FTX (and Crypto companies in general) are basically doing the same thing.

I used FTX as an example, but the gambling by companies, auto industry, financial sector, athletic compnies, etc. Unless it’s some small mom and pop place, they all do it. Major corporate sponsorship is sports washing.

Are we really comparing what FTX does to the atrocities committed by the Saudis? :what:

Are you really that obtuse and dense to not realize that my point is atrocities are still atrocities? FTX stole billions from people.

Nothing I am saying is absolving the Saudis, but instead asking you to do something that you may not be capable of which is think critically.

What's stopping the Saudis from creating another basketball league in America and paying everyone 100 million a year?
They clearly have the money to burn
They can do whatever they want, but players are not going to Saudi Arabia to play professional hoops. You brehs are not close to understanding why the Saudis are doing this and what the end goal is---they want hte 2030 World Cup and will use former stars to help push it. It's what Qatar did for the 2022 World Cup bid.

They don't operate that way. And won't be able to compete with already established teams in the same market place.
