Hit deload upper... went well

I swear my shoulder feels back to normal. I'm really thinking the lat pulldowns were aggravating whatever was going on.... lat pullovers and seated cable rows feel fine. Great, even. I only have 3 weeks till we head to Europe.... gotta keep my head low, keep plugging and not get greedy. Plan there is to bring resistance bands and ease my pressing back in with pushups. Then hopefully when I get back I can start benching again. I really do like lat pulldowns though. I'm hoping once my shyt is fully healed I can bring those back in the mix. But I think it's pretty clear I gotta vary shyt up with my back. I think switching between different back movements will be the wave. Alternating between lat pulldowns and cable rows should be it.... not crazy about T bar rows anymore.

Thinking through these band exercises on vacation.... here's what I'm thinking.

Banded pushups/seated rows
Banded single leg squats/ lateral raises
Banded tricep pushdowns/ curls

Obviously doesn't feel like regular weight but again it is pretty decent. I have a good range of resistances too. Hoping I can maintain and come back w/o missing a beat. Gonna be a lot of walking and cardio too.

Been a minute..... haven't done much. I did intervals on the trainer Tuesday and hit a deload upper yesterday. Gonna do a deload lower today, then Saturday do my regular upper shyt. Weight has been holding pretty steady between mid 182s and low 184s... basically if I'm on target I'm in the 182s, and if like yesterday I have 3000+ calories I wake up heavy. No biggie. If I can work my way up on intervals to an hour or so I should be good. Do like 2x30-45 minutes and turn it up to an hour if I am out of my zone. Def getting softer but shyt is pretty much under control.

Gonna be a good boy with the diet so I can hit that pool party Sunday looking right.....

Perfect timing.... pump the upper tomorrow with my first post deload upper workout, then pump the legs right before with my 5x10 shyt. Probably gonna ride tonight too. Only snag will be a party tomorrow night but we will live. If I can do 2500 net the today and tomorrow I will be happy.

Man I thought the weigh in this morning would be brutal.... homie had a baby shower last night and we indulged. Woke up this morning, 182.8. Lowest weigh in in a minute. Hit upper body yesterday. Tried bench. Pain still there but not as bad. I'm def healing and ditching lat pulldowns helped. Hoping I can get back under by the end of the year. Good thing is all the other work I'm doing seems to be supporting it.... didn't feel weak, at least in warmups. Today, high volume legs with a hangover of course. Joints were achy last week but I'm feeling better. Still gonna take an Aleve before just in case and get some kind of anti inflammatory supplement.

Got through 5x10x225-235 on squats and only like 3x10x215 on RDLs. Still coming up to speed off that deload. Feeling great though. Knees feel fine. Had DOMS in my lats this morning from seated rows yesterday which is great.... I knew it was a decent back movement but that just gave me confirmation. So hopefully I will be able to improve my upper back situation until my shoulder is fully healed. Will be good too as I think it can help with mid trap thickness.

Gonna see what the damage on the scale is tomorrow :lupe: No biggie though, we will clean up tomorrow night on the bike.

Hit upper body today. Man, I really think lat pull downs are worse for my shoulder than bench right now!!! I tried 6 reps and my shyt is aching a little bit. I guess I won't be doing that again. Went well otherwise though, 5x145 on shoulder press went up like butter and I got through all 5 sets of my accessories. Just finished an intervals session on the bike. Might do another one tomorrow, gonna be out on the boat on Monday.
