Legs last night were not bad. Got greedy (WHY WOUDLNT I???).... hit 285 for 8, 8 and then on the third set my body was like :scumbag: so I got like 3 off. No need to get TOO greedy. Calf and ham game strangely fell off pretty hard from that week off.

I think after my cut I may do more leg work. Will be getting colder then and hopefully I will be conditioned cardio wise so I can balance 2 days of cycling and 3 days of legs. We'll see.

Legs Saturday & chest/arms/back Sunday. Felt a little sick/tired... was weaker towards the end of CAB than I expected to be, was hoping to get in 2 supersets of arm work and could only muster 1.

Feeling like I'm needing more time to adjust from my vacation than I thought, which sucks. Sleep is also not great... trying to switch to sleeping on my back instead of my stomach as it helps my back, but I'm a natural stomach sleeper.

Ordered some shyt for the bike... it was a mechanic's bike with some wonky shyt. Fixed most of it, except the gearing. I think right now my honest non-coasting speed with my trainer is like 12 MPH... slowest I can do on the bike now at the right cadence is about 13.5. So I got new gears front and back that should be in Tuesday.

Also transitioning to upping the hell out of my protein intake. Trying to hit 250 a day on average. 120g from 1.5lbs of chicken and 120g from whey with the rest coming from rice and shyt :sadcam:

Whew had a nice ride last night. 3.5 miles @ ~13.5 MPH. Just paced myself and put together a nice little playlist. Chest arms and shoulders today. Using this week to transition into my deficit. Gonna start just measuring weight and waist weekly or bi-weekly to keep from going crazy (for example my morning weight jumped 1.6 lbs from yesterday to today).

Lower back is still not quite right! Just feels a little sore waking up in the morning. Homie on another board mentioned something about heating pads. I will give that a try.

Chest arms shoulders for lunch.... felt a lot stronger today than I did over the weekend. Maybe biking helps? Energy was always high when I was biking but I didn't focus on gains.

Gonna try biking tonight even though I'm doing legs tomorrow. I was planning on not biking the day before legs but fukk it I want to see what happens.

Biked 4 miles at ~13.5MPH last night. Enjoyed it. Changing the small chainring made a big difference... did not even need to mess with the back gears. Might still change the big chainring though. My goal on that is to be able to sustain 200W for an hour. I'm at 100W for 20 minutes now.

Chest arms back for lunch today.

Hit CAB yesterday no problem

Didnt ride last night, wound up just eating about 2300kcal.... man them hunger pangs :mjcry: Gonna be critical to get pre/intra/post workout nutrition in. And I DEFINITELY prefer using cardio to hit my deficit than intake.

Time to start breaking out the tricks. Stage one will be potatoes and soups. Stage two will be smoothies. Whew man I feel dizzy, wtf its been a day :damn:

I think I may go back to only doing upper 3 days a week. Energy is slightly lower in a deficit. Also definitely liking the cardio deficit thing though we will see today how biking the night before leg day will hurt legs. Legs feel fine FWIW.

Also semi-realizing pre-workout nutrition is a lot more critical for me now. I'm hungriest when I wake up and then work out in the afternoon after a smallish meal. Might have to go whole hog for my preworkout and then let post workout meals get a little smaller. Just playing around with it to see what the deal is.

Cut officially starts today. Going till 3/15 and then taking a 2 week break then starting up for April again. 6/2 week blocks.

Yep I knew it. Had a lb of baked chicken before I went in, squat went back up to 3x8x275 w/o too much issue. My workout drink definitely helps, but it looks like the key is getting a decent amount of slowish burn carbs in beforehand. When I work out at work I get about 75g of (instant) oatmeal which works really well. Might actually up that to an even 100g. Biking isn't hurting either which is great. Might be able to bike everyday, and biking in the living room watching TV is fun. Distraction actually helps my performance a bit. This might be manageable.

Now I know I'm in a deficit. Every time I cut my immune system gets weak :mjcry: Got my damn recurring throat shyt, haven't had it in years

No biggie though, whooshed down to 215.6

Kinda tweaked my left knee on squats yesterday. Got distracted for like 2 reps but they were the LAST 2 reps of my LAST set. Left knee buckled a little bit. Hurt a little on my ride last night, but it feels better this morning. Got up to 4.25 miles on the bike last night but they were slow. To be fair though I had like half a beer before I rode... game was too close mon :bryan: That shyt and screaming at the screen is prob why my throat is sore today :ohhh:

Any fukking way taking today off from lifting... will still try and ride though and cook lunches for the week. I wanna get back on my brown stewed chicken shyt.
