Weight: 177.8 (regular) It's weird.... on one hand, I'm happy- seeing 177.x all weekend and basically dropping 2+lb last week was good. But the rolling average losses were not that crazy. Like a lb. I'm taking it as a 2+lb loss. I guess the big difference is last Sunday I was 177.8, but that Monday I shot up to 180 flat; yesterday I was at 177.8 and I stayed down at 177.8 today. This bodes really well as I have my ride tonight, so hopefully I can take another big dip and stay down.

I am definitely starting to feel this deficit. Like I said before... switching to "hold on" mode; acquiring gains from here on is a pipe dream. I have never been this lean so I'm in new territory, and to boot I've never been this strong at this kind of body weight. 265x10 on squats is a PR for me, period, like no asterisks or anything. So I'll be happy to hold on to that through the rest of the cut, though I will try and add more reps if I feel I can. But overall I'm in a really good place, even if shyt's not meeting my unrealistic expectations.

Thoughts: Thinking about how to transition back to a surplus when I'm done, as well as how much of a surplus I want to come back up to. I've got to where I'm not really craving sweets anymore... I just want more carbs and bigger meals in general.

*MATH WARNING*

Big adjustment is going to be from cardio. I'm eating ~1900kcal/day, but doing about 2600kcal/week (or ~375kcal/day average) of cardio. So my net intake is about 1525kcal/day... fukking low as shyt. BUT, I'm losing about 1.4lb/week on average, which is about 4900kcal/week or 700kcal/day. So based on that, my maintenance right now is 1525+700 = 2225kcal/day. I'm thinking that's a little lower than it would be in a surplus, because I do feel a little shytty and tired. So when I get back in a surplus, I think I'm gonna shoot for 2500kcal/day, and get in ~1000-1500kcal/wk of cardio if I can. I do think I eventually got up to 2900-3000kcal/day with minimal cardio last year and little to no weight gain... I'd love to get back to that point again. But I also want to try and stay lean- if I get down under 170 I don't want to go past 180. And that's going to be all carbed up and shyt. Then again last year I wrapped up my cut at 180, and only crept up to like 192-193, so I think I can do it.

Just trying to think through what I'm gonna do with this extra 600-800kcal/day. That's a LOT :damn: Basically an extra meal a day for me. A nice one too. I still want to make good on no more uncooked foods (ready made cookies, cereal etc).... but I might bring shyt like brownies and biscuits back in the mix. I have picked up a lot of good habits on this diet... really sticking to my feeding windows, eating more veggies, cooking all my meals, managing social shyt and conflicts, just having more discipline in general. I'm enjoying it and want to continue that in the surplus. It feels good to have this level of control, even while I'm hungry as shyt.

Weight: 177.2 (regular) Yea, we are deep in the cutting zone now. Usually a ride would be good for at least a lb. It was cooler last night so I didn't sweat much, and actually wifey came in to chat and I was able to hold a conversation at ~115-120BPM. For me at least that's about the perfect heart rate for cardio. Caffeine gives me a good 10-15 extra BPM for the same perceived level of effort though... that shyt definitely works. It takes a little more out of me though... def feel a little gassed for my upper workouts Saturday. I'm hoping more calories will alleviate that. Would be great to bang out a 90 minute ride in the morning and then do my volume shyt in the afternoon.

Weight: 176.8 (regular) Not going to look a gift horse in the mouth or overthink this... just taking the drop and appreciating it. FFS... down damn near 20lb but up 10lb on my squat and RDLs. Only wrinkle this week is that I might not be able to do my Thursday night ride, but there's still a possibility. Just have to have my shyt 110% at work today.

Workout: Breezed through leg day at an alarming pace.... 9,10,10x265 on squats and deads went up with relative ease. Definitely appreciating where I am in this cut right now. I do feel lethargic and tired but I'm on point mentally and in the gym. Hopefully things keep moving this way to the finish line. Definitely seeing progress in the mirror too but you know the old rule.... it always takes another 10lb to get to where you actually want to be. But I'm still going to wrap it up at 170. I'm not doing a show or anything, just having fun and finding my limits.

Thoughts: as much as it pains me to say it, I'm starting to wonder if processed sugary treats are more detrimental to the diet than whole food carbs. Compared to the last cut, I'm pulverizing the shyt out of my legs- 2 leg days and 3 long but less intense rides, compared with 1 leg day, 1 long intense ride, and 1 leisurely short ride. I'm way stronger than I was last year, I weigh less, and I feel better. Is it too much to say that's due to entirely to me replacing Snickers with veggies? Maybe. But by all other indications I should feel worse than last year, but I don't. Hopefully I'm not just in the calm before the shyt storm... but since I tightened up the diet shyt's been taking off. As hungry as I am I honestly don't miss the treats. Going to be interesting ramping up the calories with healthier whole foods.

Weight: 176.8 (regular) Riding tonight, upper body for lunch.

Workout: Thinking about switching to barbell for my incline pressing. Might fukk with T bar rows for my horizontal pull this week. Shoulders have been looking good with nothing but lateral raises.... honestly might be the only delt move anyone needs, besides some rear delt stuff.

Weight: 176.4 (regular) Had to cut my ride short as a friend stopped by. Still moving forward though. Wanna do a little refeed on Saturday... feeling it.

Just bought a shytload of frozen starchy veggie mixes.... quinoa, riced/mashed cauliflower, some of those Birds Eye "protein" mixes (10g a serving lmao). Nice clean healthy complements to my meat for dinner. Easy AF too. I will probably make a video tonight. Speaking of videos, went through my footage last week.... too much shirt off footage. shyt was unnecessary. But I will do some filming this weekend. I want to upload something.

Weight: 176.4 (regular) Woke up feeling like shyt today.... just drained. Been a while, so I said fukk it and decided today would be a refeed day. Wifey made blueberry cobbler so I had a piece with some milk. Having coffee now.... once that runs through I'll do my ride. Feeling a lot better. We are going out to dinner tonight so between this cobbler and dinner I gotta keep my pre-workout meal light. Definitely gonna bust out some cauliflower and try and keep the whole meal under 500kcal. Probably gonna hit like 3000 today.... it is what it is.\

Workout: we got the ride and we got upper body. I might push for a 5 set workout on upper body shyt today, and 20 miles on the ride. Feeling better already

Weight: Not sure. I woke up this morning at 178 flat, but a couple hours later I was 176.6. I'll go with whatever my weigh in tomorrow is closer to. Either way not bad for a refeed. I think I'm gonna do one every 2 weeks.... hopefully the next one will be the last, or unnecessary. But I'll keep that in mind next year.

Workout: Hit my 5 set upper body yesterday. Went well actually. Had to drop weight on lateral raises.... cleaned up form on dips though. About to hit legs.... only 3 sets though. Going for 3x10x265

Weight: Somewhere in the mid 176s... I think I was 176.4, so I'm gonna count the lower weight from yesterday. Last week was really productive on the scale.... both raw and rolling averages on weight were down about 1.8lbs week to week. And even with a (admittedly short and small) refeed this weekend shyt didn't budge. Can't complain at all, happy for the progress. I really want to wrap this shyt up by the 22nd, if not earlier... but I'm OK to stretch to the end of July. Long term goal is to stay under 180-185 full time... if I can make good strength gains in a surplus that will be a great look year round.

Workout: Hit legs yesterday. Got through 3x10x265 pretty decently. I feel like I could move up to 3x8x270 but getting under 170 is the focus now. Moving to a holding pattern. Got my ride tonight... hopefully that goes well.

Thoughts: Started editing some footage and thinking through the format. I should have something ready soon on the video front.

Weight: 175.8 (regular) yesterday, 176.4 (regular) today. Chart is looking very smooth now. Before about 2 weeks ago I was seeing 2-3lb swings in either direction over as many days. That volatility has definitely slowed down. But it's looking like the weight loss is slowing though. But we'll see.

Workout: Rode Monday... went OK. Tired of damn cardio but we're in the home stretch. Just a few more weeks. Hit upper body yesterday with heavy chest. Got through it, but that RC shyt flared up slightly. If I go loose it happens. I also think there's something about my home setup that triggers it because I was fine last week. Did some weighted chins for shyts and giggles as well. Everything else was pretty standard.

Thoughts: Just in grind mode now. shyt's not fun anymore but this is where many people sink or swim. I wanna swim :sadcam:

Workout: Hit legs.... 3x10x265 is going up easy on squats, so-so on deadlifts. Still waiting to see how I feel with more calories as far as going heavy is concerned. I would love to + think I can get to 3x5x405 with the right programming :demonic: but that shyt sounds heavy AF right now. Legs are holding on strong though, thats for sure. Glad I found the right recipe for that in this cut... leg days are damn near easy right now, squats were springy

Weight: 177.4 (regular) Not worried; I drink half a gallon of water at work and didn't drink that over the 4th. I think my shyt is out of balance. Should get back in balance with the ride tonight. Looking forward to lunch... sweet mustard chicken and Mediterranean quinoa :noah:

Workout: Hit upper body alt and just finished my ride. Upper body went OK, got through incline benching 155 and pulling 3 plates on the t bar row. Ride went nice too.... forgot I had the AC blocked so it was hot AF, hit 880 calories in only 15 miles. I get the feeling my weigh in is going to be good tomorrow because I was pissing like crazy all day and I just sweat a shyt ton on that ride. The 4th threw me off my damn rhythm in kind of a major way.... especially now with shyt getting down to the wire.

Weight: 175.6 (regular) I think. May have been 175.4. Like I said yesterday I was losing water at an alarming rate. I do think this is a legit weigh in though.

Happy to have today off, I need a break.

Looked at the data, saw something interesting with weight loss. Looks look I have a surge every 2 weeks, and I'm about to head into a downturn. This is why my avg loss rate has been ~1.4lb/week. I'll take it I guess
