The players have a long list of activities that they have to participate in outside of the game. A boycott is counter productive if you care about the league

No it wasn't. ASG formula has always been mostly chill out for 3 quarters, entertain the fans, and give effort in the 4th. With very few exceptions the ASG has been the same as always. The difference is fans have way more options in terms of entertainment these days so its more difficult to keep eyes on the product. No one gives a fukk about The Pro Bowl, MLB Derby and ASG, or hockey to even a tenth that they do the NBA ASG.

Me personally I don’t have a problem with the nba product like that. Favorite player Antman outside of the legends of course. Love the new players coming in. I think everyone knows the 3s aren’t as exciting as seing a player work around the court and teams having more of their own identities. But the players are really entertaining still. The teams have so much parity now and it’s exciting. Players really skilled. But the all star game is just not competitive.

I’m a millennial. I would guess most millennials feel this way. Somewhere in between fukk this shyt and naw it gonna be fire this time. Lol

The format really needs some serious change, it feels like just a joke where everyone dunks or shoots 3s with little defense, if they put a lot of incentives for players in it i think that would spark the interest in the all star game. if millions of dollars are on the line for the winning side they will play harder especially the new all stars who havent earn a lot like the league veterans, people want to see the best players going at it against each other.
