Do you think the pro black wave was also used by politicians to gain votes in the presidential election?

I mean, they certainly didn't not want their votes. :skip:

I think the events of 2020 strongly influenced how deep the Black platforms went in the election. But now in retrospect, how many of those became legislative priorities in office? We KNEW that Biden had a history of doing little with Black concerns and at times being borderline racist. George Floyd Summer pushed him publicly further on those issues than anything before. But in terms of real change did we even see any actual attempt outside of a return to the pre-Trump status quo?

Not sure if this has already been posted - but the recall was a mess and nothing good will come of it.

A week after she was sworn in as San Francisco’s interim district attorney, Brooke Jenkins fired 15 people, many of them hired by her predecessor, Chesa Boudin. Jenkins quit her job in the DA’s office in 2021 to become the liberal face of the recall movement that ousted Boudin.

When critics pointed out that the campaign was spearheaded by Republican millionaires and billionaires, Jenkins stood out as a self-professed progressive, and a woman of color, who claimed that Boudin had gone too far: coddling criminals, failing victims, and mismanaging the DA’s office.

Boudin’s critics were elated when Jenkins was nominated. “SF’s radical DA replaced with a great moderate,” former New York Times reporter Nellie Bowles wrote. The San Francisco Police Officers Association described Jenkins as “a qualified, competent, and compassionate prosecutor who will allow San Francisco to turn the page from the previous criminal defense attorney masquerading as the DA.”

There is literally nothing you can post that will keep HL centrists from considering this an unmitigated victory. Siding with police unions and Republican millionaires/billionaires isn't something they're going to see as problematic or even unusual.

This been happening all over the country ever since the 2020 riots if you been paying attention..it’s why crime went up all over because the police fell back purposely to “prove a point”

Folks suspected it but if they have evidence of it here it needs to be a national story.

These cacs threw a fit because they could not kill and abuse Black folks with impunity :scusthov:
