Homie you can take away Canada too. The NFL has totally monopolized the market. What I mean by this is that they loaned the CFL millions a few years ago. The understanding with the loan was that the CFL would not step on American soil (expansion teams) and that if they signed an NFL player (such as one on suspension) they have to get the NFLs permission first. This is the reason the Toronto had to get permission to sign Ricky Willaims.

So the NFL has total authority over professional football in North America (many NFL owners also have ties to arena football).

Some are papered up and some are on minimal contracts with mouths to feed.
