"I'm brainwashed, I'm a parrot" Is not an argument to anything I wrote. Most of the British army during the war of 1812 were mercenaries or "HIRELINGS." Very few of the combatants the British used were neither black nor indentured servants.
Indentured servants were essentially slaves, our history books just call them by a different name. Believe it or not black people didn't have a monopoly on misery and oppression.

How does me acknowledging there was indentured servitude, diminish the horrors of black chattel slavery? I didn't, I simply mentioned "hirelings" refers to indentured servants and mercenaries, not just black slaves.
I mentioned ABe Lincoln because a lot of people deify him as a savior of black people when he was racist himself, I'm not trying to excuse Scott's racism or Lincolns racism.
