Like everyone else, Russell Wilson has an opinion on Colin Kaepernick not standing up for the national anthem.

Here’s what Wilson had to say via the Seattle Times:

I think first of all there is no perfectanswer. I understand and respect the cause because there is so much going on America right now. There is so much hurt and so much pain and ultimately I understand what he is doing. Me personally, I love the flag, I love the National Anthem because it’s an emotional time for me because I get toplay on the football field and every time I get to put my hand on my heart. It’s truly an honor of the military for me. I think about my family members that haveserved and friends, and I’m training down in San Diego all the time so I’m around the Navy and stuff so I see those guys, just see those guys around and all they do for our country and the people in Afghanistan and all these people fighting, and 9/11 for example coming up here, that’s going to be our first game I think about all the pain from that. That’s why I stand and put my hand on my heart. I do think there areissues in our country and I think ultimately it comes back to love. Like I said to you guys before, it comes back to loving one another, appreciating one another, understanding that we’re not perfect but we need to be equal and that’s from the Black community, that’s from the White community, that’s from the police officersto just everybody. All of our military, to everybody that we get to recognize and see and have a great appreciation for what this country is based on and should be based on. It should be based onequality. It should be based on people having freedom of speech and people can have that decision and so I understand what he was doing. But at the same time for me I think about where we need to go and where our thoughts need to be and it needs to be about love and caring for one another and that’s for every community, every situation, every socio-economic status and if we focus on that maybe something can change and I think that is important.

Do you like Wilson’s thoughts on the national anthem issue?

Kap changing religions because of a woman shows me enough of his mental appitude. There is nothing intelligent about about this dude.

Shows me he is mentally fragile. Him sitting the national anthem probably has little to do with actual protest but deflection for his horrible play

Paul Finebaum showing his roots on College Football Live, Joey Galloway wanted to whoop this cac ass after the segment ended on Colin Kaepernick's protest. I give it to Galloway for not getting ignant with that big eared bytch, but he didn't back down either. He said the focus need to be on the issues that caused the protest.

I heard someone else talking about this. link?

At this point the people who are shytting on Kaep are receiving more backlash then he is. By the end of the week you are gonna see some try and save face

This is most :banderas: part about it. People spoke up and assumed they were gonna get a bunch of pats on the back but they got black twitter on they ass instead. You can already tell most of them regret it yet each day a new idiot steps into the fray.
The number of self-exposals from this :wow:

shyt's crazy.

I'm surprised no one is comparing this to Tommie Smith and John Carlos raising their fists with black gloves during the national anthem in the Olympics to this. It's pretty much the same protest. Now white people respect Tommie Smith and John Carlos for what they did, but for some reason can't see Kaep is doing the same thing for the same struggle as Tommy and John.

Them nikkas got blackballed for the rest of their career. Even the cac next to them who had nothing to do with it caught strays. Where do you get this notion that white people respect them?

The Chargers just so happen to be saluting the military during their game vs. the Niners and having a serviceman sing the anthem. So fukking transparent :mjlol:

this move is going to expose a lotta c00ns and racist cacs. When Mahmoud did this in the 90s the social media was far too little compared to what we have today, just really hope more players follow this today, I know small chances, but still hopefully. Someone from the NBA should do this too, especially since the league is black dominated. They wouldnt blackball nba's black all-star player.
