I'm surprised no one is comparing this to Tommie Smith and John Carlos raising their fists with black gloves during the national anthem in the Olympics to this. It's pretty much the same protest. Now white people respect Tommie Smith and John Carlos for what they did, but for some reason can't see Kaep is doing the same thing for the same struggle as Tommy and John.

Lets do a rundown of what people are talking about OTHER than what Kaep was talking about.

- Military disrespect
- The Castro and Malcolm X shirt he wore that day
- How black or is Colin black enough
- Black on Black crime

and then maybe something about black people killed in the streets by cops after all of that.

I'm glad this situation has blown open the rift between rational players and racist/c00n players and coaches.

Good. Force what they really think to come out. I've long thought about that underlying disconnect in worldviews in sports locker rooms beneath all that rah rah we're a band of brothers shyt, especially football. You have a league that's mostly young black men, most of whom probably came from humble beginnings. The owners are all rich white country club fukks who are overwhelmingly Republican voters. Forbes Welcome.

All the great QBs seem to be staunch conservative/Republican types...Elway, Warner, Marino, Brees, Manning, Young, possibly Brady, etc.

When I saw Gene Keady, Digger Phelps, Bobby Knight and Lou Holtz all endorse Trump at once it made me think how much could they really care about their players like they claim they do. Mike Ditka's another racist fukk.

Kaep is making them all go on record. At least we know where a lot of them stand.

jesus fukking christ, he went full white supremacist...Bengals fans come get your boy :scust:

It's honestly so disturbing how unabashedly these cacs and c00ns are equating the symbol of America primarily with the military and police. The two most overt wings of American power that are used to keep darker people, foreign and domestic, in line. It's a fukking political statement ever single time you stand up and sing the national anthem and salute the flag, so Boomer's "leave politics out of it" take is total bullshyt. Having fukking F-15s fly over your games is an overwhelmingly political statement. Having uniformed military personnel honoured before every game is an overwhelmingly political statement. So Kap didn't have the option to make a non-political statement. Standing or sitting are both political statements. Kap just chose the one that didn't ignore the reality for millions of people and whitewash America's history.

Notice how they don't say that Kap is disrespecting doctors or nurses or teachers or civil rights and pro-bono lawyers, they immediately go to the people who shoot dark people; cops and soldiers. Those are the true Americans in their eyes. They just exposed what they believe America is really about; using violence to keep dark people in line. Every other job and profession is of secondary Americanness.

Kap has to go down in history for this, brehs. This is truly a historic exposal Kap. That's my quarterback :wow:

RG3 never disagreed with Kaep. Cacs have been trying to run him out of the league for years so i can understand why he gave that answer.

While I'd like to see more brothers in the league sit for the anthem I'm at least happy that most stayed on code and defended Colin and didn't throw him under the bus.

I guarantee that if there's another police shooting or something pops off during the season we'll see more players sit.

Shockingly im proud of Griff

This whole situation has exposed so many of these former athletes and commentators true colors that from this point on i dont think i could stomach watching any sort of pre-game, post-game, or highlight show. Ive pretty much lost respect for all but a handful of people who cover sports for a living and dont feel comfortable supporting them or even listening to any crap that comes out of their mouth now.

In recent years i had already cut back on watching most NFL pre-game shows so it wont be much of a change to just cut them off completely.

i think that was Colin's intent

He said Kap doesn't know what Black people deal with because he's not Black??? Football players are a scary ass group man, the shyt that has been coming out of these nikkas mouths is mindboggling.
It honestly is scary what some of these guys are saying. I don't think anything would convince them to change their minds.
