The job was easy. Make a gang based open world game that’s not corny.

Basically just copy 1 and 2.

They didn’t have to beat gta. Just needed to be a solid alternative in the interim.

Coulda ate off of being “the other real world gang game” forever.

The entire series is a failure that so happened to make two good games, with one being a cult classic.

And yea this could have been the GOAT franchise but they wanted to be funny with humor that made no one laugh

Even after fans complained and begged them to go back to the way it was, they just kept going further off the deep end with corny ass “humor”

Could have easily rivaled GTA by filling the void left by them not putting out story content in so long but nah they thought making you a movie star then President with super powers was hilarious and would boost sales

The irony is gangsta ass SR2 had way funnier parts/jokes than try hard ass 3 and 4
