Every team DeRozan signs with starts playing worse basketball than they were before him.

Mike Brown ain't coaching shyt. Them guys are losing games at home to average teams. Wait till they get on a road trip for a few games :mjlol: Their only legit big man is Sabonis and he's a PF. Kings got no defense.

It looks to me that they are back to Boogie Cousins era, where they'd try winning games but would still end up somewhere 11th.

What do y'all think their next move should be? Tank the season and keep that top 12 protected pick for 2025 NBA draft? They got some great prospects to pick from next year. Them guys are getting booed at home games and they got no room to improve their roster via trade, cause nobody wants DeRozan. Trade Fox if he shows he really wants to go somewhere else? That would mean rebuilding their team entirely.

There’s something weird about derozan that I can’t pinpoint cause I rarely watch his teams

It’s almost like he’s only good for his own 20-25 points with good efficiency but adds nothing else. Is it lack of movement without the ball, weak defense, lack of leadership despite being like 36, what is it?

He somehow managed to cancel out Sabonis being ADs Daddy :skip:

One thing I'm shocked was that Mike Brown when he was coaching the Cavs and Lakers, he was an amazing defensive coach

Seems like when he went to the Kings, he's done a 180 on focusing mostly on offense. Which is odd. Did he change his philosophy, or are the Kings players really that bad defensively?

They can't defend the three and they can't shoot threes. They're completely cooked.
And they wasted their money on a guy who's never shot threes well and never defended 3pt line well.

Their GM won executive of the year award back in 2023 and yet done the kind of front office move that kids playing NBA 2K would make. Just signing a known name without any thought.

Their issue was they collapsed in the 4th quarter of games last year so they figured they'd bring in Derozan to fix that issue, but created 10 other ones.

If they wanted to go that route, they should have just signed Klay

The DeRozan effect

He eats up possessions where the ball stops.
He takes possessions from better shots and movement.
He dont defend a cot damn thing
Keegan development stagnating as a result :blessed:
Bad front office decision that pretty much fukked their season up 30 games in.

DeRozan is stunting Keegan's development. Everyone saw that but the Kings front office. He's not the kind of player who could teach youngins how to win, cause he never won shyt besides couple of decent years in Toronto....That Kawhi trade pretty much showed the whole world how valuable DeRozan was :mjlol:

They peaked as a team a few years ago and the Derozan move was a desperation one. It doesn't help that multiple players on that team have regressed whether that's due to Derozan or not.

None of those dudes are #1 option on a championship team. If you can get multiple assets in return over paying Fox the max, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
