i think the area has potential. DC is a horrible drive from there no matter what time of the day and Charlotte is atleast 6 hours in the other direction. You got the US Atlantic Fleet based there in Norfolk along with a few other Armed Forces bases. I think the Hampton Roads area along with Eastern North Carolina could support it similar to OKC like someone said before. Traffic would be hell though depending on where the stadium would be...

its a long way to get to DC to see a Wizards game. Thats like a 4 hour drive. Aint nobody tryna do that.


And I live in the DC area so I know.

a VA beach team will not be eating into the Wizards pockets in terms of arena support. In terms of TV money, yeah this gonna be a problem.

Virginia Beach is a 4hr drive to DC, a 7hr drive to Charlotte. Who the fukk wants to drive that fukking long to see a game? In contrast, people who live in Maryland (Howard, PG, MoCo, Baltimore Co.) got a choice between two franchises that are within 30 mins in either direction That shyt aint fair, especially when VA can support its own franchise.
