The movie definitely needed to be longer. The reason that the movie feels so jarring in between the halves is that he spent too much time establishing the characters/characterization of the cast in the 1st half instead of the supernatural element. Had that been more established/prevalent in the 1st half of the movie I think the movie would've been better for it.

I'd like to see an extended/director's cut, or atleast get a feel for what was cut out of the movie because I feel like a lot must have been
I don't think people understand world building and that Coogler wanted people to care about the characters hence the first half of the movie. The payoff wouldn't have been as great considering what happens in the second half.

7/10. The movie falls apart in the 3rd act and just has too many :comeon: moments. I liked it but all the praise and 99% of RT is not justified here. Good movie but the same criticisms that would be applied to many other movies is missing here. The plot holes and the movie is just too many things at once but despite that it gets an A for the effort put in.

Hey Brehs, what themes you think were explored in the movie? I’m more of a bookie and with movies, I have to think a bit harder at the message that is being conveyed.
