If I was on this detail, I'd be nervous. I know they hate this got out before they got on the ground.
This is the safest VIP detail those soldiers will ever do. Notice how the one thing Russia hasn’t fukked up is shooting out of bounds or harming any diplomats. It would mean suicide for Russia, not political suicide, like other nations would be open to physically striking Russia and it’s assets.

good that should really take those tanks out, i doubt they have buk systems in ukraine since they havent needed them up to this point.

They're the perfect VIPs to make a statement against...ala Qasem Soleimani.
I wouldn't want their presence known until after they've left theater.
Nobody wants them problems right now, especially not Russia. That whole side of the country won’t receive fire until they’re gone. But I do understand the use of OPSEC. This is one of the cases where the DOD doesn’t want to use it.
to be fair i dont think russia cares about their generals, putin kills plenty of them himself
