This is the dumbest part of Putin’s NATO paranoia. Nobody wanted to take Russia from him.

No one in Europe has economic ability to absorb the population of Russia.

So the worst case scenario now is Russia is essentially absorbed into China and they get access to all that oil and gas to fuel their economy instead of making deals in Africa and the Middle East.

They're not going to be absorbed into China anymore than Canada or the UK is absorbed into the US.
