You do realize the connection between the Israeli and Russia situation is borders don’t mean crap if an aggressor doesn’t respect those people in any case?

Putin didnt care what some treaty or vote said abut Ukraine being independent of the former Soviets block. And he kept taking land to make sure.

Putin took Crimea fair ( and eastern Ukraine) and square if we go by Israel’s Golan Height annexation logic. And Ukraine is in the wrong to try and get it back.

And Israel has no problem sabotaging an Iranian nuclear program inside another country’s borders if it thinks it’s threatened.
If Hamas etc weren’t attacking Israel what’s happening now wouldn’t be happening.

If the Arabs created a new state for Palestine elsewhere I don’t see Israel attacking it

You’re trying to create parallels where they don’t exist

Hamas isn’t the the beginning of this…

The six day war wasn’t against Hamas.

If Israel is okay lobbing bombs into Lebanon to fend off against Hezbollah and bombs in Iraq and sabotaging Iran’s nuclear program( with assassination and drones), why do you think they wouldn’t go into a proposed Palestinian state if they think Hamas is plotting something?

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday accused French President Emmanuel Macron of cutting ties with him, but left the door open to rekindling the relationship.

Before the war in Ukraine, Macron cast himself as a negotiator between the West and Russia — the French president traveled to Moscow weeks before Russia’s invasion in a last-ditch effort to de-escalate tensions.

Photos of Macron sitting at the opposite end of a long table in the Kremlin became a much-shared meme and an ominous foreboding of Putin’s unwillingness to negotiate.

On Thursday, in a Q&A with the press and public, a journalist from the French channel TF1 asked Putin about the current state of the two leaders’ relationship.

Putin said they had enjoyed a “quite good working relationship and we were ready to cooperate with France further” on bilateral and global issues.

But he added: “At some point the French president stopped the relationship with us. We didn’t do it, I didn’t. He did.”

“If there’s interest, we’re ready. If not, we’ll cope,” Putin said, adding: “We have other things to do.”

Earlier during the marathon Q&A session, Putin was more complimentary of Slovakia’s Robert Fico and Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, whom he described as “not pro-Russian, but pro-national” leaders.

“The others all depend on the older brother,” Putin said, referring to the United States.

This is incredibly sad.

KHERSON, Ukraine — There was a faint tremor in the marine’s voice as he recounted the murderous fighting on the east bank of the Dnieper River, where he was wounded recently.

“We were sitting in the water at night and we were shelled by everything,” the marine, Maksym, said. “My comrades were dying in front of my eyes.”

For two months, Ukraine’s Marine Corps has been spearheading an assault across the Dnieper River in the southern region of Kherson to recapture territory from Russian troops. The operation is Ukraine’s latest attempt in its flagging counteroffensive to breach Russian defenses in the south and turn the tide of the war.

Soldiers and marines who have taken part in the river crossings described the offensive as brutalizing and futile, as waves of Ukrainian troops have been struck down on the river banks or in the water, even before they reach the other side.

The article goes on to basically just describe a war of attrition, both sides focused on taking out as many men as possible from the other side without either one really expecting to move the line of engagement at all.

Foolish. Russia has more bodies to waste. Ukraine should of realized that the counter offensive was futile and hunkered down and just let the dumbass Rooskies keep walking into drone bombs and artillery. Very misguided

It’s likely a feint to get Russia to divert forces to the South to relieve pressure on Avdiivka. It’s one of the areas of the front where Ukraine outguns the Russians.
