Read page 11 of the unsealed district court opinion and it will show you how important Mueller's decision to get the cream of the crop to join his team.

On September 19, 2017 the witness and their attorney laid out their justification for not cooperating fully with the grand jury subpoena.

"That same day, the SCO moved to compel the Witness's testimony, relying on three theories"

Mueller planned for every contingency and responded IMMEDIATELY to any efforts to delay. Others may have wasted time going through informal channels/discussions in the hope the witness would give up the goods. They then immediately moved to a hearing the same day, and then another the next day.

Wait...are Manaforts own lawyer about to get knocked??!?!?!?!!

Counterchekist is not correct. There are various exceptions to the attorney client privilege rule. Doesn't mean that the attorneys are co-conspirators. ANY attorney would fight a claim to breach atty client privilege if only to protect their professional reputation. Now, that doesn't mean that the attorney wasn't actively working with the target and that the conduct was illegal. But it doesn't guarantee that's the case.

Follow The Post’s tech blog, The Switch, where technology and policy connect.

Facebook plans to tell lawmakers on Tuesday that 126 million of its users may have seen content produced and circulated by Russian operatives, many times more than what the company previously disclosed about the reach of the disinformation campaign during the 2016 presidential election, according to documents obtained by the Washington Post.

Google on Tuesday is expected to acknowledge for the first time that its platforms were also compromised, revealing that Russian trolls uploaded over a thousand videos to YouTube on 18 different channels.

The disclosures, contained in draft testimonies obtained by The Washington Post ahead of three Capitol Hill hearings this week, come as tech giants face mounting pressure to more fully investigate how Russians used their platforms to influence American voters and reveal more of their findings to the public.

[Russian propaganda may have been shared hundreds of millions of times, new research says]

Previously, Facebook had focused its disclosures on Russian ads. The company has said that 470 accounts and pages run by a Russian troll farm had purchased roughly 3,000 ads, which the company said reached an estimated 10 million users. But the troll farm, known as the Internet Research Agency, also published free content. Researchers estimated that the spread of free content was far greater than that of ads and that Facebook has been under pressure to share more about those posts.

On Tuesday, Facebook’s General Counsel Colin Stretch is expected to say that between 2015 and 2017, the troll farm posted about 80,000 times, and that roughly 29 million people received that content in their news feeds. Because those posts were also liked, shared, and commented on by Facebook users, the company estimates that three times more people - and at most 126 million - may have been exposed to a story that originated from Russian operatives.

For Facebook, which places roughly 220 posts each day in the news feeds of US users, the amount of content equals about tiny fraction of total content served. Americans in total were served over 33 trillion stories in their News Feeds between 2015 and 2017.

In a blog post published late Monday, Google said it had found 18 English-language channels with 1,108 videos uploaded, totaling about 43 hours of content, that originated with Russian operatives.

The company also found that two accounts linked to the Russian troll farm spent a total of $4,700 on search and display ads during the 2016 election cycle.

Today, former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort was charged in special prosecutor Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. The indictment against Manafort details a complex scheme, which includes real estate ventures in New York.

New York property records confirms what appears to be the property in question. The Manafort corporation held a condominium in unit four at 29 Howard Street. (Also listed on the forms is the address 27 Howard Street.)

If the property was once available to rent on Airbnb, it’s no longer visible on the service. But the property has been listed on other services offering real estate for rent. The Corcoran Real Estate Group, for one, appears to have the property listed, describing it as a 2,500-square-foot condo available for $14,200 per month. (The agent named on the listing said she was unaware of the condo’s connection to Manafort.)

The photos show a high-ceilinged space with red leather couches and a cozy fireplace, as well as a spacious kitchen and prominent windows:

The Manafort family’s use of Airbnb for rentals has not gone completely unnoticed before. Last year, it was reported that Manafort’s daughter was being sued by a landlord after allegedly renting out Manhattan apartments in the same neighborhood illegally for more than $30,000 per month.

Airbnb did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the property. The rental may have run afoul of Airbnb’s rules for listing properties, although today that may be very low on Manafort’s list of concerns.

Because by resorting to a public defender, he shows to the courts he was unaware of being a subject or co-conspirator, however, as Manafort's right hand man, it's more than likely he did find out. But to give the perception he didn't know, it provides a cover to what he could have done to cover up the crimes following being made aware (by Manafort).
Sounds good but Mueller got hard evidence.. taxes, bank records, Money transfers.. none of that circumstantial he say she say sit

Mueller had time for Gates
