I don't think the window is closed. Remember the defense carried us early on, we have leaders but it's like all aspects, next man up. We played great before Sanders, and he wasn't a top 5 guy, true his leadership was awesome but let's not act like Deebo didn't step up. I attribute a lot of that to growing as the season went along and i expect him to get better, Kendrick can be his same ol self and that's where the next piece of the WR puzzle comes in at. If we can get a dominant guy, the leadership is as necessary I hate to say. The leadership aspect is important when the receivers are lacking in ability like ours were.

Man you know it was mainly Pettis dropping lots of balls right? Deebo dropped some, but the second half of the season he was a new man. So it's just really Deebo, Kittle, and run game along with a great defense. Yeah they can definitely go to the SB again. But I'm sure just like last year they will find a way to get a quality receiver. Ya'll freak out way too quick.
way to much doom n gloom wit yall nikkas in here. lets see what these nikkas do with that 13th pick if they get CeeDee lamb with 13 or Higgins with 31 our WR room is solid as fukk and in a better position going forward.

it was clear they werent paying sanders. he was a nice rental. but hes not getting any younger and we got bunch of WRs on the team and probably will draft another one.
defo is a far bigger impact loss. he wast the second best lineman on the unit that was the main reason we won games.

Like for so many years y’all told me we wasn’t gonna make it to the promise land and I defied y’all with dreams of 11-5 or 12-4.
Now I’m finally telling y’all it’s over and y’all still think we have a chance
Like it’s ok. I’m not happy that our window is closed..... but I am content that we are hopefully no longer a trash team. We got a squad we can be proud of. That helps me sleep well.....

Sorry had a few projects to finish but here is my take on the last few days.
We lost Emmanuel Sanders and it hurts, he's been a positive force on the team on the field and in the locker room, but fact of the matter is he was looking to get paid and be on a competitor the Saints were able to be both partially because Drew Brees took a team friendly contract which gave them some flexibility.
We will be fine at receiver. We have an early enough pick to get Lamb/Jeudy or Ruggs. We have guys who can arise from the ashes.
DeForest Buckner is gone, but again Lynch took a long term approach. Deforest is an amazing defensive lineman and a soldier BUT is he Aaron Donald or even prime Ndomukung Suh, sadly no. We got a top 15 pick out of it and we were in need of draft capital. Arik had a great season last year, but more importantly he was willing to take a team friendly contract to stay. We do not have the money to pay both of these guys. Plus we have DL depth and we can bring in a contributor later in the draft or from team camp cuts. Hell Kentavious Street is healthy and could produce at 75% of what DeForest did at a fraction of the price.

I love this franchise.... like so much. I can’t even begin to explain how much I love the Niners, they are almost like a family member to me.
Growing up a black kid from the South East, they Niners was one of the constants I always had in my life. I remember like 5 grade or so I wrote a paper on Jerry Rice and I still have this book on him and Joe that I bought at a book fair.
