I kinda figured Sanders was gone. We have leverage tho, trade for a WR or draft one, either way, I think the passing game will be sufficient. Kittle, Deebo with another year under his belt, Bourne will probably see more targets, hopefully Hurd will be back, draft one, maybe Pettis wakes up, maybe we trade for one. Who knows but if there's one thing Kyle can do, he can scheme an offense together.

I figured Sanders was gone, and he definitely got overpaid. But... for the Saints, it's probably a great pickup. They are going to want to go all-in on the next year because I think it's Drew's last and probably Payton's, too. (hopefully not on earth. COVID-19 ain't nothin to fukk with) And putting Sanders over there across from Thomas will probably be :whew:. Thankfully neither of them are burners, since they play SF this year. He's proven by what he did last season that he can gel easily in a new team, he's still sure-handed and able to produce, and he can pick an offense up quickly - dude came over to Santa Clara partway through the season and anyone looking could see he was a big boon. So, if they're going all-in on this year, 8-mil a year with escalators could be worth it.

I don't know how I feel about it, but I've seen recent talk about OBJ. I hated the idea last year, but I think the year in CLE might have mellowed him out... rather; humbled him some, but I also think that, after the year SF had, the internal culture is set and motivated and I very much doubt dude throws little fits through a season in that locker room without someone shoving him into a locker and having a talk with him. I definitely get the feeling Sherman wouldn't deal with none of that fukkery, and given the respect he has from the defense especially, others would follow his lead there.

The problem I can see is, the Hopkins thing shook the market, but then BUF overpaid for Diggs so the compensation could be all over the place. But... this being such a WR-heavy draft, I dunno.

I do think OBJ doesn't finish the next season playing in CLE, be it from being benched or from being traded. That situation seems untenable

Naw Pettis is a bum. Bourne is a good receiver but won't ever be dominate.

We definitely need another stud WR to go along with Deebo. So draft or trade I'm thinking to get one.

I don't have faith in Pettis either. Who would you try to go after if a trade involving a 1st is available? I can't really think of anyone I'd give up a 1st for except maybe Keenan Allen or Devante Parker and I only say them because of all the teams with top tier WRs, they may be the only ones available via trade. However, then the issue is cap space at that point. And truthfully, a 1st is too much when you could draft a player that could be as good or better.

The Niners can always work around the cap space. Hell, the Saints didn't have any space to sign Sanders and they still did. I think if the Niners want to go after somebody they can make it work.

I said trade because OBJ rumors are kicking up again. They have no second so they would most likely have to give up the 31st pick. I really want an impact player right away not a rookie. But OBJ stays hurt. I don't know why Perriman from the Bucs is not on their list to get. I wouldn't mind picking him up. The only player I think would be a great fit at WR in the draft is Tee Higgins. Tall and can lineup anywhere on the field.

But honestly if they Niners can trade picks to gain a second rounder. I wouldn't mind it.

They have the 2 first round picks, there getting a wr in the first guaranteed

I don’t agree with trading Buckner though

Heres my thing though.

Were trynna get back to the Super Bowl AND WIN!

Do you actually believe a ROOKIE WIDE RECEIVER can join this team, become not only the best WR on this team but the best in the entire league, and help lead us back?

Think about, a rookie that can be can be better than Thomas, Jones, OBJ, Hopkins, etc???

Is this really what we putting our hope and money in?

Folk acting like Sanders didn't open things up for Deebo. That's a big loss IMO and still feel we didn't utilize him as much as we could have.
So you want the Niners to pay 19 million for a 33 y/o receiver? :dahell: That's the only reason why he ain't here. Nobody is discounting his efforts. But it would be foolish to re-sign him that high with other needs. Lots of options at WR for the Niners, mainly to get younger.

I’m fine with that but if that’s the decision we finna make. We need to all definitely understand the situation we bout to be in and realize we probably not going back to the SB next season and have to be fine with that

Ain’t rookie leading us there and I don’t believe our young guys good enough alone to get us there

We playoffs and done
