Finally as we enter the regular season let's take a quick look at out Special Teams Players
Special Teams
Robbie Gould - Veteran kicker from the Chicago Bears, Gould has for the most part been among the leagues best kickers. He's had funks here and there but for the most part he is capaple of booting in any kick with 50 yards with pin point accuracy. As such he is among the leagues highest paid kickers. I expect another season of this.
Overall: A-
Mitch Wishnowsky - 2nd year punter picked in the 4th round of the 2019 draft. While I would never advocate a punter being picked this high, he is big improvement on Bradley Pinion whose erratic kicks at times put the opposing in better field position than they should have. Mitch has a powerful foot and is already good enough to get good hangtime and get the occasional coffin corner punt. He should be our punter for the next decade health permitting.
Overall: A-
Kyle Nelson - Tight end turned long snapper. Consistent long snapper, rarely bobbles a football. Not much more to say beyond that
Grade: B
Unit Analysis - Games are won and lost with special teams play and these guys along with the athletes we have on the team are a pretty talented bunch. The Special teams may not have a game breaker on it but they are well coached and usually avoid big mistakes, which in some ways is more invaluable. There is a general consistency in execution that some times gets under appreciated by the casual fan. Here's to another great season.
