Seems like the media is afraid to criticize him for some reason.
The heat kinda give the national media the cold shoulder for the most part and they rarely get talked about at all in return. The only time this postseason where I noticed a media figure with a large scale platform really bothered to talk about them before blowing this lead was Jim Rome showing love to Gabe Vincent after game 3 because they went to the same school and that’s the 1 specific case where Rome turns into a homer & to needle Boston fan since his dad was from Boston & a Celtics fan.

He’s accomplished nearly nothing for the past 9 years though and didn’t do anything of note his first 2 years either though. In those 11 years without the big 3 he’s got 1 season of 50 wins, 2 seasons with an offense above league average (2019-20 & 2021-22), & 3 trips to the conference finals and obviously one of them was under conditions that can’t be replicated.

I didn’t think he was anything special during the big 3 years either. Spo is a solid coach, but he’s not the guy that they hyped him up to be.

I didn’t think he was anything special during the big 3 years either. Spo is a solid coach, but he’s not the guy that they hyped him up to e’s done almost nothing without the guy who is both the all time leading scorer and within striking distance of second all time in assists who essentially can guard all 5 positions.
He sucked during the big 3 years too. He cost them to 2011 finals by refusing to take Bibby & Anthony out of the lineup even while they were combining for 5.1 points & 1.1 assists per game on 28.6% & 29.4% shooting. 2 starters doing that while one was also relentlessly targeted on defense. Anthony had 0 points on 0 shots in 27 minutes in game 2, had 4 points on 6 shots with 4 fouls in 28 minutes in game 4 and was a team worst -8 for the night as well and spo had him start all the way into the next year’s playoffs. Nearly cost them the conference finals in 2012 & nearly cost them game 6 vs San Antonio in 2013. In fact check the quoted post of mine.

shyt I’m still mad at him for refusing to bench mike Bibby in the finals & leaving James Jones on the bench for the series in a year where he won the 3 point shootout against a team that primarily played zone defense while Joel Anthony was in the starting 5 and of the 3 guys he brought off the bench, 1 was a wing with 2 broken thumbs & the other was an undersized power forward coming off a 6 month absence with a lisfranc fracture. He’s lost or nearly lost a lot of games & series doing dumb shyt that was inexcusable in real time. 2012 he nearly lost the conference finals by having a 6’8 player (haslem) front a 7 footer in the post to try denying him the ball and letting a super old Garnett nearly average 20 a game while not even playing a pace of 87 possessions per game. He nearly lost game 6 of the 2013 finals putting a clearly not healthy Wade back into the game with 3 minutes and change to go when they were rolling with shooters on the floor and the spurs largely ignored Wade since he wasn’t able to do much all game with his bad knee (he finished a -18 in 31 minutes in regulation). Then he also got smoked the following year in the finals.

I dont know if i would fire Spo if you blow it up hes a pretty good player development coach but i would definitelt profit off of Jimmy Bam Herro and start all over building around Jovic :yeshrug:

But hey yall got one more game to win

This joint is on Bam & Jimmy Spo not making Jimmy passive & not shoot
Spo not making Bam not fight for rebound or get to made to look like a bytch by Williams & Big Al
Spo not making Lowry come in the game flopping & turn the ball over

Your 3 biggest highest paid dudes on the team Lowry, Jimmy & Bam are playing like shyt
So Spo got the role players to show up but not the stars
But now its Spo fault let's turn on him

Coach Spo is good.

It’s not his fault Jimmy keeps making these guarantees and not backing them up. He only puts in work when everyone counts him out.

Stupidly locked in
Everything’s gonna be alright
I guarantee we’re gonna win

Blah blah blah

At this point I’m not even mad at Bam. He’s always gonna remain mentally weak. I’m done expecting anything out of him.

Our two stars putting up tour dates for shooting numbers :manny:

If we lose, hopefully it forces Riley's hand to make actual moves this offseason
Pat realizing the team needed size & going budget bargain driving is downright shameful
To go into the season size again with no starting for PF
We been bargain shopping that spot for years with Crowder & Ariza trying Mo Harkless we lucked out 2 out of the 3 worked Love been so-so & Martin is a damm shooting guard trying to play PF this shyt not college
Not resigning Tucker sucked

Everytime this team gets knockout in the playoff it's been due to being to small yet they continue to keep playing small

We've been undersized since Whiteside left :francis:

Golden State play bigger than we do with 10x the shooting ability

Losing Tucker wasn't bad, it was losing Tucker and not replacing him with anything, just next man upping. It's led to increased Martin minutes, but as you said, he's a guard.

Grant Williams is the final form of Ariza/Tucker/Crowder :francis:

Man losing on Monday would make us look like a complete joke. If you think the Warriors 3-1 was bad…

We still have a chance to take it in Game 7, but honestly it didn’t even have to be this way…

This team far exceeded any expectations I had. But to go out like this… that would be embarrassing.

The role players did their job. Caleb Martin has been amazing. Duncan Robinson has been good. Namdi - that’s one of my favorite players on the team. That man has heart.

Jimmy Butler - we wouldn’t have gotten here without him. He had to carry this team alone the past 4 years. Maybe he gasses out. I don’t know. Jobs not finished. Maybe he can give us 50 in game 7. But enough with the guarantees. Waaah nobody picks us to win. We don’t care if you guys don’t pick us. Waaaaah.

Kyle Lowry - it’s time to retire

Tyler Herro- I saw his pregame workout. That hand looks fine to me. Just throw that man out there in game 7. What do you have to lose at this point… seasons on the line.

Bam Adebayo - wow. Just wow. Please no more no ceiling talks about this guy. If Draymond Green is all this guy ever aspires to be then so be it. Who knows. Maybe he will show up in game 7 and drop 30. Still in the offseason just try to find a secondary scorer so you don’t ever have to rely on him. Make Bam a 4th or 5th option and let him be content with setting screens all game I guess.

Having a center who blocks less than 1 shot per game isn’t cutting it.
